You wake up in your apartment. It's quiet, the only thing that can be heard are drops of the rain on your window. Your bed is cold same as your apartment. Nothing is same

You feel like it was yesterday when you had your girlfriend next to you in the bed. But it wasn't yesterday, it was two months ago

And here it is again. You are thinking about her. You have been thinking about her for the last two months, you just can't move on

While you are drowning deep in your memories and thoughts you suddenly hear small steps. At least someone is here with you. You snap back to reality when your dog Charlie jumps on the bed. He is almost two years old now. He is your dog but when he saw Sadie for the first time he fell in love with her immediately. Sometimes you think that he likes her more than you. He is one of the main things which reminds you of Sadie

"Good morning buddy" you say and pet his head

He jumps off the bed and looks at you. He does his little cute dance and tells you that he wants to go out

"I know, i know. I am coming just a minute" you say

You woke up later than usual so you know you will be out longer because he needs it

You get up and go to the bathroom. You brush your teeth and fix your hair. After that, you dress up and as you look out you see that it stopped raining when you were in the bathroom

"Okay Charlie let's go" you say and he goes immediately to the door

You check if you have your phone and keys and then you put his collar on and then his leash and after that open the door. He goes quickly out but then stops and waits for you

When you are out you go to the park and start your normal route of walk which you go almost every day. You take the leash off Charlie so he can run around you. You put your headphones on and play your playlist

After a few songs, the one song plays. Happier from Ed Sheeran. You listened to this song for so many times

You heard that song many times when you were lying in bed and thinking about Sadie. You are thinking about her again now and your eyes start to tear up

But then you spot her red hair. You think that it is just your imagination but it is not. Charlie sees that too and immediately knows that it's Sadie. But you aren't paying attention to Charlie. You see Sadie in someone's arms and that breaks you

When you see that Charlie is running to Sadie you start running too

"Charlie!" You shout with the hope that he will come back but in vain

When you reach him he is already with Sadie and her new "friend" st least you hope he is just a friend. Even though you are no longer together it hurts to see her with someone else

"I am so sorry" you say and take Charlie on the leash again

"It's okay. I miss him" she says. These words break your heart little more but you don't make it noticing

"Yeah well. It was nice to see you again but we need to go home" you say trying to go away as soon as possible

Sat in the corner of the room
Everything's reminding me of you

"Oh. Okay well in that case. Have a nice day Y/n" she says with a smile. But it's not that smile she had when she was with you. By that smile, you can tell that she is really happy

You try to smile back to hide your sadness as they turn around and leave slowly. They interlock their hands and get closer to each other

She deserves this. She deserves to be happy and she wasn't when she was with you. It breaks you and makes you happy at the same time. You are happy for her but it hurts when you know that she isn't happy with you
