Last promise

You and Max have been dating for a year and a half. You asked her out last summer. It was so amazing. You went for a walk and she talked about Lucas and how everything is different because she loves you. Max technically exposed herself in front of you. You remember that feeling in your stomach and mind. How fast your heart was beating and how red your cheeks were. You remember your first kiss that night too. As soon as Max said her feelings her eyes widened and she was frozen on the spot thinking that you would hate her but instead of any word you just took her cheek and kissed her

Your relationship is amazing. Of course, there were arguments over some things but you always managed to fix it. You have been here for Max every time she needs you and she has been here for you. Everyone around you says that you are soulmates. Even Lucas who accepted the break up really well and supported you two

You helped her through the time after Billy died and everything changed. Max had a really hard time but you were here for her no matter what. She was better after a few weeks but now you can tell that it's back. Maybe not Billy but something is definitely up

Last few days you have walked through school halls but every time Max ignores you. You have to speak to her so she will pay attention to you. Once you caught her and cornered her in the bathroom to ask what is going on but she just put on her fake smile and kissed your cheek to get away from you. You could just hear simple 'nothing' as she left the bathroom

You try to talk to her about it more but it always ends up the same. Nothing

"i just don't know what i should do more. I know that something is wrong but she won't tell me" you say while looking at Robin who is sitting across from you. You are sitting on the edge of your bed and she is on your chair and looking at you

"i thought that Max always tells you everything" she says

"well..obviously not anymore and it scares me and i am worried. Last summer it was bad with her but this is worse.." you say and fall back on your bed staring at the ceiling

"you are the only one who really know and understand Max..i can't help you" Robin says looking at you

"i know" you say with a sigh

The next few days it goes the same. Max ignores you almost every time you try to talk. You can also notice that she is getting worse. She skips school more and generally she seems more off. Like in her own world

It even seems like she cuts you off. And the whole party too. She stays home most of the time and when she goes to school she mostly just doesn't pay attention. Survives the lesson and goes home. It has been a long time since you last called together. And you miss her. A lot

Today the party met in Mike's basement. Steve, Robin and Nancy are there too. You are talking about Chrissy and Fred. You all are trying to get some solution after reading their files in the office of Ms. Kelley. You can't really find a connection between vision, nightmares and nosebleeds

"i have it too" Max says quietly but loud enough for everyone to hear

"what do you mean??" you say going closer to her "why didn't you tell us..or me?"

She just looks at you and doesn't answer. You sigh and turn back to the party as they start talking again. They ask Max questions and she answers every single time. It makes you sad as she answers to everyone but not you

After the discussion about everything that happened the last few days everyone slowly leaves. You leave a few seconds after Max. You catch up with her and try to be nice and talk to her

"you know you can talk to me right?" you say trying to start the conversation but the only answer you get is a simple nod

You look down sadly and just walk with Max to her home which she doesn't mind as long as you are quiet. You think about what you can say but every time it ends up with nothing. Eventually, you have enough of the silence. You stop in your steps. Max notices and looks at you
