His arms were folded in front of his chest with firm eyes, while his legs were spread wide apart.
He sat on the chair that was on the left side of Delisha's bed.
"So you're telling me that you follow her because you saw some weird man start to follow her? Are you telling the truth?" Damien asked.
He doesn't want to believe the story that came out of Ian's mouth, but whenever he looks at Delisha, he knows that what Ian says is true.
"That's right. I'm afraid something bad might happen to her, so I follow her to make sure everything is fine." Ian said with the most genuine smile.
"Are you sure you didn't have any other intentions?" Damien still has doubts about Ian.
"Of course I don't have any ill intentions. I just purely want to help the weak."
Man. If Igito or Aryan hear what he said just now, they will say that he has gone mad.
He has never helped anyone before, and they all know that he's not that kind. He always had a reason when he wanted to do something.
"So you understand everything that happened to me, right?" Delisha asked with a calm voice.
Damien turned his head toward Delisha, and his murderous aura suddenly disappeared when he looked into his sister's eyes.
If only he could turn back time, he wanted to go back to the time when they were children.
He wanted to treat her better and give her everything that he couldn't before.
He always observes her from afar, but he can see that she's such a sweetheart with innocent eyes and an innocent smile before his father destroys all the innocence inside her.
'My little sister, I really want to keep you somewhere safe so that you can live a happy life without worrying about anything.'
Damien really wanted to say it but couldn't.
This thought only lingered in his mind, and he didn't have the courage to let Delisha know what he thought.
"Is the thing that man says true? He didn't lie about anything? He didn't do anything that hurt you?" He asked while holding her hands.
Ian immediately looked at the hands that were holding Delisha's small hands.
Suddenly he felt like something inside him was about to burst because he didn't even get the chance to hold those pretty hands.
He has his limit, and he has to be careful not to be hated by her. He had to restrain himself from touching her.
"All he says is true. And I'm fainting due to the high fever... Well, I thought I fainted because I didn't eat anything that day, but it turns out I have fever." She said while pouting.
He touched her nose with his other hands, and he brought her hands to his cheeks to feel her hands warm.
It's an awkward and new thing for Delisha, but she didn't hate it.
Damien glanced at Ian, and he smirked.
He knows full well that Ian could never hold his sister's hands like he did because Ian's someone who's not related to her by blood, unlike him who shared the same blood with her.
Even though they have different moms, they still have the same dad.
Ian stared at Damien's hands with a serious expression. He must be jealous of not being able to hold her hands.
Damien knows that Ian isn't just an ordinary person.
To be able to notice that there are some weird people that follow his sister is enough to say that he belongs to a mafia group, but he just doesn't know how dangerous he is.
