"Delisha. You can come out now." Ian spoke gently as he kneeled in front of her, who was still hiding under the table.
After hearing that, she immediately stood up, and she saw a lot of bodies lying under the floor.
Some are dead, and some were injured.
Perhaps it was because of the gunshots earlier. She immediately turned her head toward Ian when she remembered that he had fought them.
"Eli, you're bleeding." She said with a worried expression.
"Oh... Don't worry. This is nothing." He said while smiling.
"How can this be nothing? You get shot by a gun, and you're okay? Are you mad?!"
It's not her intention to get mad, but when she sees the blood, she reacts sensitively. It was as if she was scared that this earth would turn into a bloody place. It's scary.
"That..."
She didn't know what he did because she didn't really see what happened.
But his shoulder is covered in thick red blood. It was clear that he got hurt. It wasn't only present in his clothes. There was blood on Ian's black hair and cheeks as well.
"This is just a small injury. I will get a treatment once I get home." He said.
He didn't lie when he said this was nothing.
This is nothing compared to what he has had to face before. This injury didn't even bother him at all. He got used to it, so it's not painful at all.
"It's still hurt. No matter how strong you are, don't forget you're human, and you will feel the pain. Don't act like this is nothing!" She's clearly mad at him, but he doesn't understand why.
Delisha shouldn't have paid attention to his injury like this.
But how can she turn a blind eye to this? He saved her, and he got hurt in order to protect her from getting hurt. That's a difficult thing for her. It would be inhumane of her to ignore someone who just helped her.
"But..."
"Come with me. I'll treat you."
Without waiting for Ian, she immediately walked out of the cafe without paying attention to the police that were handling the victim's dead body or the criminal that was lying on the floor.
People who get injured also obediently sit there without moving. It was only Delisha who dared walk out of the cafe with Ian, who followed her like an obedient kid.
It's weird how the police didn't even stop them when they were leaving the cafe that was attacked.
It's weird, no matter how much she thinks about it, since she expects the police to stop. But, since no one stopped them, they just calmly walked out of that place.
"Where are we going, Delisha?" he asked.
"My house."
"...What?"
That's shocked him to death. How could she bring a stranger into her home? Did she always treat her savior this way? Bring them straight to her house whenever they get hurt.
No.
This can't be.
If it's true, then he would go crazy for real. Just the thought of her inviting another man than him to her house makes him tremble in anger.
"You're lucky, my house is very near. Now, sit here and wait for me. I will go to my home and come back with an emergency kit, so wait for me."
They suddenly stopped at the park, and Delisha told him to sit on the bench. Ian sat there with a confused look in his face. Delisha stared at him.
