Chapter 7: The Truth

You were walking through the school's corridors along with Vern, while you two were talking about whatever came to your mind.

"How was at your previous school?" he asked while his green sparkly eyes were scanning you.

"Eh... Sorta sad. It wasn't a happy school... And I didn't have friends. I stayed 4 years there, and I made no friends. On the other hand, the first day in this school I made 2 very good friends and also meet plenty of people that are nice and kind. What a differe-" you spoke but got interrupted (again)

Bruh, I just started to open up.

"Veeeern hiii! What are doing here? With her?!"

And of course it has to be Tienna. Why am I even surprised?

"Oh nothing much. How are you?"

Nothing much? Dude-

And that's how Vern turned his whole body to Tienna, driving all his attention to her and leaving you there, lowkey thirdwheeling. He was actually having a lot of fun talking to her. He didn't even sense that you were already stepping away from their conversation circle.

Playboy. I knew it. The lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch.

You suddenly spot Rei and Isa next to the project chart, of course, the usual spot, and you decide to head to them. They immediately notice you and start waving at you.

"Heyyy, Kira! How are you? Haven't seen you around today" Rei started.

"Hii, about that, well... "

"Rei, it's my turn to break someone's jaw now. C'mon, Kira, tell me, who made you mad? " Isa continued.

"You two know who I like, right? "

They nodded.

"Alright. I just got back-turned at by him. And he didn't even notice when I left."

"Girlie that guy is a playboy. I mean. 90% of the girls in this school are drooling over him. " Rei said.

"Yeah, she's right. He likes it when girls are fighting for him. It's disgusting when you watch from afar" Isa said.

"So my dear Kira, forget about Vern. Really. He doesn't deserve your attention. " Rei spoke.

"And don't let him make you come back to him. What a jerk" Isa finished.

"Thank you, girls, I knew I would get good advice from you. But I still think you two can be really dumb sometimes. But it's alright! Y'all are my besties and I love you no matter what" you said giggling.

You three hugged tight, and those fractions of seconds you thought that nothing matters that much as your family and best friends do.
After you finish hugging, you decide to tell them. They should know.

"Ok now hear me out"

They are now staring at you with a pair of hazel eyes and a pair of blueish grey eyes.

"So the truth is that.... I think I like Kat"

Their eyes widen in shock.

"You what" Isa asked.

"I like Kat" you responded.

Silence

"Girlie, if 90% of the girls are all over Vern then 100% are all over Kat! " Isa said.

"Isn't that 190%? " Rei asked confused.

"No because if you take it the other way, the pick-me girls are not loyal to one crush, they have multiple choices yanno"

"Girls you're not helping! " you murmured.

"Ok I would have nothing against that if he wouldn't be feared by like the entire school and outside the school, maybe he's fuckboy I don't know what else but because of that-" Rei said panicking but you started talking.

"He has a soft spot. And he showed it to me. I don't know if he knew he was showing his soft spot" you said.

"I think I'm gonna faint soon" Isa spoke dramatically gesturing.

"Haha, no but I'm serious. He's not a bad person. Maybe he's a jerk to others because they might have wronged him. Maybe we've treated him too harshly" you said.

"Ok well... If anything happens, call Isa. Or me. We both know martial arts." Rei said laughing.

"Exactly. And Kira, maybe you're right. Maybe we misunderstood him as being an asshole just because we didn't get to talk to him in person. " Isa continued.

"Okay, thanks. But still, I'll be cautious because you heard what I said about Vern. " you spoke looking down.

"Yeah, Vern is an asshole" Rei said.

"Whatever. If you and Kat end up together, me and Rei will be the ones planning your honeymo-" Isa started.

"S-SHUT UP" you whisper- yelled. "Do you want to get strangled today?! "

"Haha...N....O"

"Good. Cuz I was about to strangle you. I think the lesson is going to start any minute now." you continued.

"Alright. We have Geography now. "

"Okay, see you around. Mwah"

You were now heading to your classroom, alone.

Well they weren't negative about it. Fair enough.

But who knows who was listening, behind the corner?
