Chapter 18: Man, I'm dead

While you and Kat were strolling around the ballroom with two glasses of champagne in your hands, you two were greeting every pair at the ball, giving them the hint to vote you as the king and queen of the winter ball.

As you were waddling around, you felt a burning gaze on your neck.

You first shurgged it off, thinking that it was only a sensation. Only a feeling.

You kept spinning around the ballroom with the tall wolf cut boy, greeting people and making short, kind conversations.

But the hot feeling on your nape didn't leave you. That's when you decided to subtly look for who is burning holes in your skin.

Your eyes we're scanning slowly every person in your visual area.

You were watching every person's moves, how they turned their heads, if anyone snapped their neck back so you wouldn't see them, if anyone would turn back to look at you, anything.

Then you saw it.

Those bitches.

They have a death wish.

Tell Kat. Call Rei and Isa. Stay close to the volleyball team. Surround yourself.

"Uh... Kat? " you started.

"Yeah, honey? Is there something wrong? Are you okay? "

"Yeah, look at hour 6."

He slowly looked around and then looked over your head, behind you.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me"

You slide your phone slowly out of your dress' pocket and quickly dial in Rei's phone number.

You wait for Isa's sweet voice to answer the phone while small droplets of sweat slid down your temples.

"Kira? U okay? "

You felt relieved when she answered. You took a deep breath and asked her:

"Not really. I'll tell u after u answer this next question: where the hell is Rei? I've been trying to reach her but the line gets cut every time"

"Ohh, she's taking a dump. Don't worry I'm with her in the girls' restroom"

"Jesus Christ. When y'all finish come to the snacks&drinks place"

"Okay love you"

And then you hung up.

"What'd they say? " Kat asked.

"They're at the restroom and Isa said they're coming here shortly"

"I swear I'm gonna kill both of them"

"We'll help" a voice was heard from behind.

There stood Isa and Rei with the most determined face expressions that you've ever seen plastered on their faces in your entire life.

"So what's the plan? " Isa asked.

"First off, let's see what they're up to" Kat decided.
