Chapter 2: English Project

The first week went smooth. You were happy that you had two best friends and the majority of students found you kind and modest.... Exceeeept....Tienna. She was the cheer team leader (of course), the richest and most popular girl in the school. And of course, rich and popular girls have crushes on the jocks. This girlie Tienna saw a rival in you. You were beautiful, kind and very smart, something that she pretty much lacked as she didn't achieve such good grades as you. So this means, Tienna is lowkey-->highkey jealous of your traits.

Your next period was English. You adore English. This period your teacher promised to make a fun teamwork project. You could barely wait anymore. You rushed to the door and entered with a big smile.

On the board there were written the names in the teams. You reached for your beautiful name, and you found it placed right next to the school's jock, Vern. Yes yes yes yes yes. YES. VICTORY. That guy has been on your mind since when you first stepped in the high school. Blond with green eyes,  freckles, gorgeous. Athletic, kind and smart. Perfect match. But for real now, you were going to talk with him. This high school is only bringing happiness to your soul and you don't mind it at all.

You sat in your usual seat and waited for Vern to find you there. You thought that if he saw something in you, he would have 100% found out your name until now.

After a couple of minutes, the door opens, revealing Vern. Usual aura. Soft but not soft boy. Bad but not bad boy. Just. Perfect. You look out the window but you know damn well you can use your peripheral vision to see what he's going to do. He takes a look at the teaming chart, glances at you, back at the chart and back at you but this time, with his whole body. He starts taking small and slow steps towards you and you can feel how your heart is trying to tell you to act natural. He finally arrived at the vacant seat next to you and sat down. You look at him with a smile. He returns the smile.

"Hi! I'm Vern, nice to meet you!" he said offering to shake your hand.

"Oh hii uhm I'm Kira" you murmured, shaking hands with Vern.

"You have such a nice name"

"Thank you" you said while smiling.

Your heart was not beating fast. It was actually ready to pop out of your chest. Your temperature had risen and you were afraid you were going to start sweating from the nervousness.

The teacher announced the project theme and declared that everyone should start at that moment.

While working on the project together, you two discovered you have a lot in common, and this guy seems very nice and kind. Literally your match.
Soon enough you finished, alongside with other 2 students-teams and turned in the project. When you all left the classroom when the bell dismissed the lesson, he said something quite shocking.

"See you around darling"

With that he left, leaving you to process what just happened. Your cheeks adapted a very cute pink rosy color and you didn't even realise that you were standing in the middle of the hallway, in the middle of the students circulation route.

"Oh. My. Holy sweet mother of cats. What did he say?! DARLING? Geez I'm not ready for all of this yet. Took me off guard. Never again." You said quietly to yourself while heading to your locker.

This is not gonna be easy. Or maybe it will be. If we're starting off with "darling" from the first day then... Yuppers I guess.
