Chapter 8: He shouldn't find out yet

It was late, but you still wanted to rush to the convenience store to buy some ramen, as you were totally craving it. So as you were walking down the street to the store, you were listening to "Same scent" by Oneus. It is a song that makes you feel a very nice, but unexplainable feeling. You just like this song a lot. So you put it on one hour loop.

The wind was ruffling your hair, messing it up but you couldn't care less as you were alone on the street. You had some straight jeans and a hoodie on, headphones and some sneakers.

Once you reach the convenience store, you take your headphones off and spot a couple of boys somewhere near the entrance but you don't really pay attention to them. You enter and you go to the ramen aisle. You pick your favourite flavor and also pick some chocolate milk. Just when you're about to pay for the drink and ramen, the door bell rings announcing that a new customer entered the store. You rise your gaze only to see Kat. Whoa...you thought. He had only a t-shirt, cargo pants and vans on.

He's hot in this outfi- NO WHAT AM I THINKING. NO. Calm the fuck down, Kira.

You tried to fight your thoughts but it seemed like too much to wait for the saleswoman.

"Is this everything? " she asked sweetly reminding you that you had to pay for the ramen and choco milk.

"Oh-uh yes, that's all"

"Oh and add this to the price. I'm paying" a voice scared the shit outta you, alongside with a slender hand who pushed anothe ramen box on the table in front of you.

You turn almost instantly, with a shocked expression. Of course. It was Kat.

"You- you don't need to pay" you tried saying but you end up stuttering.

Now can someone explain to me why can't I pronounce words right without stuttering whenever he's around?

He lets out a giggle.

What is he doing to me?

"I'm paying" he says smiling. He then looks at the woman and asks:

"How much?"

The saleswoman responds, he hands out some cash and says
"Keep the change" while smiling.

All this time you admired his aura outside the school area.

God took His time to build you, Kat.

He then told you to wait for him outside while he was putting everything in a plastic bag.
You exit the store, waiting for Kat, when suddenly the boys from earlier approach you, scanning your appearance from head to toe. You pretend you don't see them so you continue looking around.

"What is a pretty girl like you doing alone in here at night? " one of them said.

"Awh maybe we should guide her home" another responded.

You turn your head to them, scanning them just like they did and looked at their faces with an expressionless face.

"You're brave. Come with me honey" one of them said while coming towards you and stretching his hand to grab yours. You silently freak out.
Just as he was about to grab your hand, another arm blocked his arm, not letting him grab you.

"Dude what do you think you're doing?" the guy asked.

You feel a hand finding it's place on your waist, pulling you lightly to its source. You figure out it's Kat so you calm down.

"Taking a walk with my girlfriend, anything against it? " Kat asked.

"She is your girlfriend? " the guy asked, lowkey scared of the statement.
