I was sitting with Lucy by the Stone Table. We had been there for what felt like hours. I tried to get some rest and insisted that Lucy might do the same but she refused. I decided to stay awake with her. Lucy was examining her cordial and I was spacing out. We hadn't said any words to each other in awhile but we both knew what we were thinking. All of a sudden we heard a noise coming from outside. 'They're back!' I thought before Lucy and I looked at each other. She put her cordial away and we both ran outside. When we got to a point where we could see them walking towards us we stopped. My heart dropped when I could see that they came back with a lot less then they went with. Peter and Caspian were in the front and Peter looked defeated. "What happened?" Lucy said with a sad tone. Peter frowned, he looked the most mad I've ever seen him. "Ask him." Peter said, motioning towards Caspian. Caspian looked severely offended and stopped walking. Peter noticed and looked back. Susan spoke, clearly trying to stop something from happening between the men. "Peter." I looked between them. "Me? You could have called it off. There was still time." At this point they were completely stopped and there would be no way to avoid yet another fight. "No there wasn't thanks to you. If you'd kept to the plan, those soldiers might be alive right now." That made my stomach drop. 'What could possibly have happened?' I thought. Peter began to turn around but Caspian responded, angrily. "And, if you'd just stayed here like I suggested, they definitely would be!" Peter responded, frustrated. "You called us, remember?" Caspian responded, softly. "My first mistake." I began to search for Edmund in the crowd. "No. Your first mistake was thinking you could lead these people." I stopped searching and I awaited Caspian's response. "Hey!! I am not the one who abandoned Narnia." He practically screamed and it startled me a bit. "You invaded Narnia. You have no more right to it than Miraz does!" Caspian shoved passed Peter and began to storm off. "You, him, your father... Narnia's better off without the lot of you!" Caspian stopped in his tracks and the look on his face was pure anger and hatred. Caspian shouted, and they both drew their swords. 'Well great now we're not going to get anywhere because they're going to kill each other.' I thought, frustrated. Edmund shouted. "Stop it!" My heart sank and I could finally see him. Then I noticed that Glenstorm had Trumpkin in his arms. Edmund helped set him down. Lucy instinctively runs to his aid with her cordial. After a moment, I follow her. I can't think about Edmund right now. Lucy knelt beside Trumpkin and gave him a drop of her cordial. His eyes flutter open and Lucy smiles. "What are you all standing around for? The Telmarines will be here soon enough." Lucy begins to get up but Trumpkin stops her. "Thank you, my dear little friend." She smiles again before getting up and following Peter and Susan. I was still knelt down when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Edmund smiling at me. "Hey there, beautiful." I smile and he helps me up. He takes my hand and we catch up to the others.

I was thinking about what Edmund had said before he left. He began to walk slower and the others didn't notice and kept walking. I tried to catch up to the others but he grabbed my arm and practically dragged me down a different hall. "Ed!" I laughed. "You know I have legs I can just...." I couldn't finish what I was saying because before I knew it he had pinned me against a wall. He leaned in and our noses touched causing me to giggle. It was dark so I could barely see him but I could hear his uneven breath. His eyes sparkled a bit in the darkness and I was completely mesmerized. I began to trace his features and when I got to his lips he kissed my finger. I traced his jaw line and neck before getting to his shoulders. He wrapped his arms around me and he hovered a bit before kissing me. I deepened the kiss and my fingers began to run through his hair. I could feel him smile and I was completely melting into his arms. He pulled away so we could both catch our breathes. "Took you long enough." I smiled leaning in for another kiss. Before we could continue, we heard footsteps. Peter appeared around the corner. He seemed freaked out. As soon as he saw what we were doing he smirked before returning to his urgent facial expression. "There's something going on with Caspian. We have to help. Let's go!" He waved for us to follow him and we didn't hesitate. We followed him to the Stone Table room and as we got closer we heard various voices. 'Well this can't be good,' I thought before we reached the room and I realized just what and who we were dealing with.

Sorry, that took me long enough. I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I'll have the next chapter out tomorrow :)
