Lucy and Susan were leaving and Caspian went to say goodbye. We had already exchanged our hurried goodbyes. I left Peter and Edmund so they could get ready and went outside to join the others. After some time, Peter and Edmund walked out of Aslan's How. All of us began to cheer them on. As they got closer to me, Peter turned his head to acknowledge me and I wished him luck. Edmund shot me a nervous look and I just smiled. Of course I was worried for Peter's safety but he's one of the best swordsmen there is. I saw Miraz whisper something to the man next to him. The one who had grabbed my arm earlier. He had a crossbow in his hand, which started to make me nervous. As Miraz stood up, Edmund gave Peter his sword. Peter stepped forward and the men began to circle each other. Miraz broke the silence, "There is still time to surrender." Peter responded with, "Well, feel free." I couldn't see that good from where I was standing but I could hear them. "How many must die for the throne." Peter pulls down his helmet as he says, "Just one." He then jumped at Miraz and the fight began. Everyone began to cheer.

After some time, Miraz managed to knock Peter's helmet off. My stomach dropped a little. Peter then managed to swing low and cut his leg. The next swing from Miraz caused Peter to fall over, but he quickly recovered. Then he tripped Peter and stepped on his shield, causing him to cry out in pain. My blood was boiling at this point. Before Miraz could swing again, Peter rolled out of the way. When Peter stopped rolling, Miraz tripped over him. Peter stood up and Miraz slowly joined him. All of a sudden, Peter looked up. I turned to see Caspian and Susan returning on a horse. 'Where's Lucy?!' I thought to myself. Both Peter and Miraz exchanged some words that I didn't bother to listen to. They both limped back to their sides. Edmund looked at me and signaled me to go over to them. I ran over just as Caspian and Susan got to them. "Lucy..." Peter said, nervously. I was just about to ask about her. "She got through, with a little help." Susan looked at Caspian. "Thanks." Peter said to Caspian, gratefully. "Well, you are busy." Caspian responded, out of breath. Peter looked up at the How. "Better get up there, just in case. I don't expect the Telmarines will keep their word." He looked between Susan and I. I nodded and Susan pulled Peter into a hug and he winces. "Sorry." Susan says, sympathetically. "It's alright." Peter responds. "Be careful." Peter nodded and Edmund turned his head to look at the Narnians. "Keep smiling." Peter then raises his sword and forces a smile. Susan began to run into the How. I smile at Edmund before looking back at Peter. Peter smiles at me and I return the smile before following Susan.

Edmund's POV:
I watch as Y/N runs off before turning back to Peter. He holds his arm and groans. I walk over to him to look at it. "I think it's dislocated. ... What do you think happens back home if you die here? ... You know, you've always been there. I never really—" As I fixed his shoulder he cried out in pain. I thought about what he said but knew that now wasn't the time. "Save it for later." I walk over to his sword and hand it to him. I offer Peter his helmet but he shakes his head and I put it down. Then Peter walks off to join Miraz in the fighting area again.

After fighting for a few more minutes, Peter was able to punch Miraz' wounded leg which causes him to drop his sword and yell in pain. "Respite! Respite!" He yells. I yelled at Peter who seemed to hesitate, "Now's not the time for chivalry, Peter!" Peter stopped and turned around. While his back is turned, Miraz stands up and charges at him. "Look out!" I yell, panicked. Peter dodges just in time, grabs the sword, twists it around, and stabs Miraz beneath the arm. Miraz gasps and falls to his knees. Peter, still holding Miraz' sword, hesitates once again. "What's the matter, boy? Too cowardly to take a life?" Peter put his arm down. "It's not mine to take." Peter looks at Caspian. He steps forward, and Peter hands Miraz' sword to him. Caspian slowly raises the sword to Miraz. "Perhaps I was wrong. It seems you have the makings of a good Telmarine king after all." As Miraz bows his head, Caspian screams and brings the sword down. Instead of stabbing Miraz, he stabs the ground. "Not one like you. Keep your life, but I am giving the Narnians back their kingdom." Caspian walks away and the Narnians cheer. I pat Caspian on the back as he walks past me.

Y/N's POV:
Susan and I smile at each other as we hear the Narnians cheer around us. She smiles at Caspian, who was looking at her. I look between them with a smile on my face that Susan definitely notices. All of a sudden I hear yelling. "Treachery! They shot him! They murdered our king!" Before I can respond, Peter points up at us and yells, "Be ready!" I hear Caspian yell Peter's name before both him and Edmund turn around. The soldier runs at Peter but he's able to kill him quickly. The Telmarines raise their weapons and begin to charge. They are using catapults which shake the ground, causing me to almost lose balance. "Archers to the ready!" Susan yells. I grab one of my arrows and get ready. "Take your aim!" All of a sudden the ground where the Telmarines are charging collapses and most of them go with it. "Now!" As Susan says this I release my arrow and they begin to fall into the pit. The Narnians begin to charge and Edmund gets on a horse. Caspian appears with the others and leads them to the fight.

Peter turns back to us and says, "Lucy..." Susan shakes her head. Peter turns back and raises his sword. "Back to the How!" The Narnians begin to retreat. The catapults get launched straight at us. Rocks begin to fall all around us. "Brace yourselves!" Susan yells. A tree falls, causing Susan to slip. Before she can fall, I reach down, grabbing her hand. I try to hold on but her hand slips. I panic but realize she is safe when she lands on a rock. As Susan runs down, I follow her. I run up to the others and stand next to Edmund. He draws his sword and we all glance and each other. Peter begins to run and we follow. As we run off, we all go in separate directions to deal with the soldiers. I go towards the right, close to Edmund. I grab my knife and duck before I can be hit by one of the Telmarines. After I duck, he turns back to me and laughs. "What good will that little knife do you?" I roll my eyes and trip him, causing him to drop his sword. He tries to get up but Edmund runs up from behind and finishes the job. I stop and look up at him. "C'mon Ed, I had that." He only smiled at me. "I know." He points behind me and I quickly grab my bow and arrow. I turn and shoot a guy in the chest. "Nice shot." Edmund says before running off to fight someone else.

After dealing with some other soldiers I hear a rumbling noise. The trees began to move and fight back. I smiled and turned just in time to stab a Telmarine soldier who was charging at me. It would of been better if I had an actual sword because then he wouldn't have been able to stab me as well. As his sword went through my side I cried out in pain. I had never been stabbed before and I wish it had stayed that way. I grabbed an arrow and was able to stab the soldier in the neck, killing him instantly. As he fell back I tried to maintain my balance. My vision became blurry but I shook it off. 'I can still fight!' I thought to myself. Peter yells, "For Aslan!" The Narnians begin to charge. I caught up to them, running next to Edmund. I tried to ignore the excruciating pain. I knew it wasn't over. The Telmarines began to retreat and we ran after them.

Eventually we get to the river and the Telmarines try to cross the bridge. Suddenly they stop. I can see Lucy at the other end of the bridge, she was standing alone. She draws her dagger and smiles. All of a sudden, a lion appears next to her. 'Aslan!" I think to myself.

This chapter was definitely a lot longer than the others. I had fun writing it though! :) Happy New Year!
