Y/N POV:
I heard two men yelling at each other so I ran forward noticing that it was two Telmarines holding a Narnian. They were going to throw him in the water. I gasped and Edmund ran over to me with worry in his eyes. Susan pulled out an arrow and she aimed at the Telmarines. "Drop him!" She yelled and she had to say it again. The guards dropped him in the water and grabbed for their weapons. Susan shot one and he fell off. The other had eventually fallen in the water. Peter dove in the water and swam down pulling the Narnian above water. Edmund pulled the boat in. I looked over to him and he ran back over putting his hand on my back. I flinched but I moved slightly closer to him. Lucy cut the Narnian free and he stood up. "That's the best you could come up with?" He snarled at Susan. "A simple 'thank you' would suffice." She said crossing her arms. "They were doing fine drowning me without your help." Peter looked annoyed and glared at him, "Maybe we should have let them." He said with his hand on his hip.
"Why were they trying to kill you, anyway? The Narnian rolled his eyes. Before he could say anything I spoke up, "They're Telmarines. That's what they do." Edmund looked shocked. "Telmarines? In Narnia?" The Narnian groaned. "Where have you been for the last few hundred years?" He asked sternly. Susan smiled slightly, "It's a bit of a long story." The Narnian looked up and his mouth hung open. I realized he understood who they were so I  stepped beside him. He didn't seem to mind. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me. You're it? You're the kings and queens of old?" Peter put his hand out, "High King Peter, the Magnificent." Susan laughed and rolled her eyes at Peter. " You probably could've left off the last bit." The Narnian chuckled, "Probably." Peter pulled out his sword, "You might be surprised." The Narnian let out a sly smile, "You don't want to do that, boy." Peter laughed at the comment and turned to Edmund. "Not me. Him" I walked over to Edmund and he smirked. "Watch and learn gorgeous." He whispered in my ear. 'Wow a bit more confident are you Edmund' I thought to myself. Lucy yelled at Edmund but he just took his sword out. The Narnian acted as if he couldn't lift the sword, but then he swung at Edmund and he ducked. After a struggle the Narnian hit Edmund in the face and I began to frown. "Cmon Ed!" I yell and Peter smirks at me. "You all right?" The Narnian asks sarcastically. Edmund dodged some more and eventually he made the Narnian lose his sword. It went flying out of his hand and Edmund held his hand over the sword with a smirk on his face.

"Beards and bedsteads!" The Narnian said shocked

"Beards and bedsteads!" The Narnian said shocked. "Maybe that horn worked after all." Susan turned to look at him, "What horn?" I looked over at Edmund and he put his sword away. He walked over to me and he pulled me closer to him. I could hear his heart beat starting to rise. I giggled and looked into his eyes before walking over to Susan and Lucy.

Edmund's POV:
As she walked away I smiled to myself. We got in the boat and Y/N sat next to me. We were so close together every time I would turn to look at her are noses were practically touching. Although I didn't mind it. "They're so still." Lucy whined but the Narnian(Trumpkin) just groaned. "They're trees. What'd you expect?" Lucy turned her head and frowned. "They used to dance." I moved my hand a little towards Y/N and she grabbed it with no hesitation. Trumpkin rolled his eyes. "Will you two please admit your feelings for one another or I swear to Aslan I'll throw you both overboard!" Peter snorted and laughed. Susan couldn't help but giggle. My face got so red. "You're just jealous." Trumpkin shrugged and grinned.
Trumpkin continued his conversation with Lucy. "Wasn't long after you left that the Telmarines invaded. Those who survived retreated to the woods. And the trees, they retreated so deep into themselves that they haven't been heard from since." I frowned. "I don't understand. How could Aslan have let this happen?" Trumpkin frowned, "Aslan? Thought he abandoned us when you lot did." Someone else spoke up, "We didn't mean to leave, you know." Trumpkin looked onward, "Makes no difference now, does it." We got to the shore and I helped Y/N out.

Y/N POV:
Edmund helped me out of the boat and I slipped a little. He caught me and looked at me for a few seconds before putting me down. I looked back at him and he began to follow me. All of a sudden I heard Lucy say, "Hello, there. It's alright. We're friends." I looked horrified as a bear noticed her presence and began to growl and charge. Trumpkin yelled, "Don't move, your Majesty!" Susan screamed, "Stay away from her." Edmund yelled at Susan, "Shoot, Susan! Shoot!" He startled me and I fell into his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist to steady me. He didn't let go. The bear charged and I began to cry. I closed my eyes. The bear let out a loud cry and I opened my eyes. I broke free from Edmund's grasp and ran to Lucy. She stood up and cried into Peters chest as he wrapped one arm around her. Susan broke the silence, "Why wouldn't he stop?" Trumpkin bent down beside the bear and looked up. "I suspect he was hungry." Trumpkin nodded and Susan smiled, "Thanks." Edmund spoke up, "He was wild." Susan shuddered, "I don't think he could talk at all." Trumpkin frowned, "Get treated like a dumb animal long enough, that's what you become. You might find Narnia a more savage place than you remember." We began to walk and me and Edmund had not said a word since the boat ride. When we fell behind a little he grabbed my hand gently and stopped in his tracks. I turned to look at him and he stepped closer. I walked backwards and ran into a rock wall. He stepped closer to me. He traced my lips with his finger and I turned a bright red. He leaned in so close and I put my hand behind his neck. "Y/N I lo-" Before they could finish Peter had yelled for them to hurry up. I lightly pushed Edmund off of me and I grabbed his hand dragging him along side me.
