There's something about walking with your arm brushing someone else's - especially when that person is the one that makes your stomach feel like it's full of butterflies.

It turns out Y/N never drives to work since she lives close to the studio - about a twenty minutes walk.

It's quiet as they walk to the car. The sky is already getting dark and the streets aren't as full as they were when Peter arrived. Y/N walks by his side. Even if she's walking a little slower than Peter usually does because she's probably exhausted, Peter follows her pace, not really minding the fact that their pinkies brush every now and then.

And it's funny, honestly, because every time Peter feels Y/N's skin against his own, his heart races a little faster.

There's something about walking by her side. All Peter's mind can think of is if he just reaches for her pinkie with his own, he could be holding her hand, and then Peter feels like he's sixteen all over again.

Y/N seems tired, which is completely understandable since she didn't stop for a second today, but, still, it seems like every time Peter looks at her - because he can't really stop himself from stealing glances every now and then when Y/N is finally by his side again and not 5,834 km away -, she looks more beautiful than she did just a second before.

On the way to Y/N's house, it's like when Peter first visited her all those years ago after they first became Spider partners.
Y/N's place is very close - as mentioned before.

Her apartment is on the first floor, Peter follows him until Y/N stops in front of a door - number 102.

When Peter looks down, Y/N's stepping onto her Vans to take them off. And, it's just then Peter gets to look at the socks she's wearing underneath the shoes, pink ones with tiny tulips all over them.

"I like your socks," Peter tells her as soon as he sees them.

Y/N's eyes meet his brown ones right away, then she looks down and up again. "Oh, thank you. I think they're pretty, too," He says. "I could give you some, I have, like, this huge collection with different designs."

At his comment, Peter grins. "You're adorable."

Looking away, Y/N blushes. Then, Peter proceeds to remove his nikes. It's then that he spots a carpet just beside his feet. It's beige and it reads you are home. Peter hasn't even walked into her place, but just by looking at this he can tell how the whole apartment will be. When Y/N's turning the key in the lock, and then reaching for the doorknob, she bites his bottom lip, turning to look at Peter. "It's not much."

Peter rolls his eyes, smiling. "I'm sure it's beautiful, darling."

Y/N's eyes stay on him for another moment before she finally opens the door, reaching for the switch and turning the light on. And, honestly, it's just a hallway, but the things Peter feels inside when he steps in right after Y/N, are just out of this world.

Because, God, it already smells so familiar.

The smell of his Y/N.

After Y/N walks a few steps, she switches another light on. "Okay, this is the living room."

It's wider than Peter saw coming because of the way Y/N was making sure she knew it wasn't much. There's a sofa, enough to fit about four people, and a table by the wall on the right side of the sofa - two chairs only. Peter's eyes roam around the room until they reach the curtains, only one of them half open.
