Monday comes.

The one thing Peter never got right when becoming the owner of Stark Industries were due dates and it turns out they're pretty fucking important and set for a reason. Peter's always been the type to leave things for the last minute - add the fact that he sort of couldn't really focus on anything this weekend and you get the perfect chaos match.

He opens his work computer and the first thing he sees is the document that reads "due dates", He groans to himself because Ned going to be on his ass today. He had two documents to prepare on the weekend, just his specialty.
And after a long sip of his black coffee, he begins to type.

And, in all honesty, Peter couldn't be happier with his choice to be the face of Stark Industries. He doesn't mind he has work on Monday, doesn't mind that he has to be up at 6am so he can get ready and be dressed for the calls at 7:30am - what he really does mind is due dates, but that's besides the point - because he's genuinely proud of what he does.

After he finishes a meeting with so called 'Miss Marvel' and Ned, his secretary Presley calls him "Good morning, Presley." He answers.
"Mr. Dean has been set for the 29th of August, a Monday to meet with you." She tells me, "You might need a lawyer because of the damage that was caused from Sam last night incase the homeowners decide to sue."

Peter sighs, "Okay, thank you, love." Peter answers. "Has Ned contacted Matt Murdock?"

"I will ask him too, sir."

"Thank you." At that she nods and hangs up.

And then Peter is back at it.

The thing about working with your best friend is that the chances of him coming into your office or calling you and starting a conversation about work that will turn into a personal life talk, are very high. Peter doesn't even know how Ned hasn't called him yet, but by the time it's 11:00, he gets a little bored and FaceTimes him himself.

"Hey bro." Ned says when he answered

Ned doesn't look up at him, eyes glued on the screen and fingers tapping the keyboard fast and loudly. Peter furrows his eyebrows, He's able to stay quiet for about thirty seconds.

"Busy?" He asks, squinting his eyes at him.

Ned sighs loudly, his hands finally come to a stop. "You've no idea, Peter, seriously." His hand moves to the mousepad. "Your goddamn secretary is making me do so many things."

Peter reaches for one of the pens on his table and grabs a stick note. Starts doodling. "What is it?"

"Matt Murdock died, a year ago." Ned sighs.

"What?" Peter says with shock, "I- shit I had no idea."

"It's fine, we will just find you a new lawyer." Ned gulps and runs his fingers through his hair, "How are you?"

"I'm good." Peter answers right away, not looking up from the third stick note he ripped out to doodle on.
"Peter."

He looks up from his table, raises his eyebrows. "What? I'm fine, like 100% okay, couldn't be better."

Ned looks unimpressed. "Did you finish your paperwork?" He changes the subject.

"Meh." Peter shrugs. "Just the first one, still have one to go."
