"HE'S JUST a guy," Amy told Jay as she put her vest on. She was referring to Spencer, who had left his number at the district. Antonio had not been discreet when giving her the message.

Jay crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "Just a guy?"

Amy nodded. "Yeah."

"So, is he, like, your boyfriend?"

"We're not dating."

"Would you tell me if you were?"

Amy gave him a look at that. He seemed to be very curious about Spencer. "Yeah. I'd tell you if we were dating. We are just friends who hang out... and do other things," she lowered her voice slightly. "We're not talking about that here. I want to keep it professional."

What she told him made him more curious about him. He was trying to get over her, and she had a thing with some guy he had never met or heard of before he left that message.

He decided not to ask any more questions about him. At least not at that moment. "That's very mature of you," Jay teased her, holding back a smile as he did so.

Amy played along, teasing him back with the same tone. She hummed. "Yeah, you know, I'm very professional."

"Oh, is that right?"

"Yeah," Amy nodded. She hit his shoulder. "Let's go."

Jay followed her. "It's not polite to hit people, you know." Amy threw him a look over her shoulder, and he just smiled back.

"Hey, what are we thinking for lunch?" Adam asked

"Hey, what are we thinking for lunch?" Adam asked. "Mexican? Chinese? Burgers? Anything but sushi. Had a bad experience once, so... we'll leave it at that." He was in the back of this van, and two guys were in front.
