Memories (muichiro x fem reader)

"THIS'LL BE ALL ON YOU IF WE GET KILLED"

AN: I just realized that this doesn't follow on what happened in the last chapter but in my defense I haven't touched this thing in months so ignore what happened before and just know that this happened instead

"THIS'LL BE ALL ON YOU IF WE GET KILLED!" Kenji angrily yelled from afar. Y/N ignored him and kept walking towards the middle of the training area.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. Kenji you're such a wimp. You'll live it'll be okay." Y/N said with a giggle which made Kenji feel embarrassed. "By the way, don't act like how you did with the spider. You actually were a wimp when that happened." Rusaki also started laughing and the rest of the demon slayers followed along. Kenji stood their fuming with his face all pink.

He nudged Rusaki enough for her to tip over a bit, but she kept laughing. "Hey, you were being a wimp too!"

"I know, it's just funnier when it's about you!"

He angrily stared at Y/N who was laughing along. "All right, all right. Now I'll explain my plan and the rules. You'll first spar with me and I'll rank you based on level. Absolutely NO breath forms. Just basic sparring." She announced. There was some mixed chatter within the room and to stop it, Y/N clapped her hands together which created a loud echo. She then purposefully looked at Inosuke with daggers. "And only one wooden sword is allowed. Not two. One."

This stirred Inosuke up and he started yelling his head off. "Hey! That was targeted! How dare you! My fighting style involves two swords so I should be allowed two swords! This is just unfair!"

Y/N didn't respond and ignored him. She didn't have time for this kind of ignorance. She instead continued, "The people on my right can spar with Rusaki, left can go to Kenji. I'll walk around and give you tips. Now get in line with your assigned helper, everyone!"

The demon slayers in the room all shuffled along and stood in front of who they were assigned to. They more assembled in crowds of people around Rusaki and Kenji. Y/N stared at them like they were idiots and just gave up, finding that yelling at them more was meaningless.

Zenitsu coincidentally ended up with Rusaki who was admirably staring at Zenitsu for most of the time and tuning out the rest of the chatter. He must be super strong... Rusaki thought.

"Hey, are we gonna start yet?"

"Come on already!"

She kept staring until Zenitsu turned to look at her. Once Rusaki realized, she shook her head and looked around at everyone else. "O-Oh right! Um, we can start with you!" She pointed at Zenitsu.

Kenji's eye was twitching looking at everyone he had to spar. Did I have to end up with the boar guy? He angrily stared at Inosuke as he was running around yelling. Kenji felt like he was about to explode if he heard one more giggle or sound come out of that guy's mouth. And that happened indeed.

"Hahahahaha! I can definitely beat you in a battle! I'm not scared of a puny little spider like a wimp!" Inosuke yelled gleefully. Everyone else laughed along except for Kenji. Kenji instead walked forward towards Inosuke and whacked him right across the face with the wooden sword that was handed to him.

Inosuke flew a few feet in the direction he was hit and Kenji's group went silent out of shock. "I'm starting with you first." Kenji firmly said.

Inosuke jumped up and grabbed a wooden sword. "Alright! Let's do it!"

Everything went well for Rusaki. She beat Zenitsu and nearly everyone in her group which surprised her and even Y/N. Rusaki had underestimated her ability and so did Y/N. Rusaki was disappointed in Zenitsu though. He was more cowardly than Rusaki thought and definetely not as strong. (I'm sorry to those who shipped them)

Kenji's experience was more interesting. He beat Inosuke pretty easily. Y/N realized that Inosuke wasn't as efficient without his breath style. Kenji beat all of the people he sparred with. Y/N was shocked with that outcome as well.

"Damn, Rusaki you're stronger than you seem!" Y/N congratulated her with a smile and a nudge. Rusaki giggled.

Kenji was sleeping on the side of the room, exhausted from all the noise and fighting. Rusaki walked over and sat down against the wall next to him.

"Tired?" She asked.

Kenji groaned and turned around to face the wall.

Rusaki smiled and unfolded the blanket she was holding to cover him with it. As she reached over, Kenji suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her over. Rusaki fell down in front of him and wrapped the blanket around them both.

"Hakane, come back here it's cold." Kenji whispered and then pulled Rusaki in closer.

"Kenji..."

He slightly opened his eyes, awakened by Rusaki's voice. "I'm sorry. You remind me of her."

Rusaki stared at her hands that were beside her with a gloomy expression. She then clenched her fists. "I know. I know."

Hello! I'm back with a new chapter after a long while (wooo!) I'll try and update more (not guaranteed) I decided to speed run this chapter as a late christmas present and I finished it within a few days! Here's some information on Rusaki and Kenji. They're both 14, they were trained as demon slayers but didn't get the chance to participate in the final selection, they met while being helpers for the Ubuyashiki Family, and this is their 3rd year working with each other! Thank you for still being here and I hope you had a wonderful year! See you in 2023!
