Will I Ever Be Happy?

TO WHERE - CHAPTER 10

(Third person)

The sun rises high and bright morning in the winter. Rena got up early lazily freshen up and went downstairs to see Aunty Amber sitting in her usual spot she also took a seat at the dinner table. Amber had cooked breakfast for them, scrambled eggs and coffee there was silence until Amber broke it and started talking about her old friend Samra who she got a call from yesterday "Rena I want you to clean the guest room" Amber told her, she didn't reply only nodded the feeling from yesterday hadn't disappeared, Amber started feeling the awkwardness and continued explaining "I have a friend of mine who's son will be staying with us for few months" Amber continued to tell her suddenly Rena chocked on her food "What why" she asked sipping water satisfied that Rena was talking with her then Amber smiled replying "They are afraid that he might get caught in messed up stuff and they are short on money and it's okay right? Also I have known them form years on a business trip and she's a great person and helped me I couldn't say no to her" Amber told the Rena, "I understand anuty and believe me it's all going to work out" Rena said making everything normal again, Amber worriedly said "Hopefully, he will be arriving this Thursday next week. He is a good boy. I saw him once when he was younger. He will be going to university here." Amber told her "Okay aunty I'll clean the room, " Rena said, curious about him. She asked aunty "what is his name and age?" Amber thought about it and said "20 going to be 21 soon, I believe, his name, umm, I think A- what was it, oh! Adam" Rena repeated his name Adam it was different and he was older than her. She now worried cause she has always been weird and awkward around older guys or any in general. He is always very nervous and shy around guys, but he never ever even had a guy friend after high school began. What if his like the other guys she had met? Both of them continued talking, and they cleaned the house the whole day. When it was night Rena decided to watch some anime laying on her bed watching peacefully when she got a message from a unknown number "Hi you don't know me but be careful and stay away for The Robertson family especially Gabriel it's a warning not a joke." Rena was incredibly shocked. Nobody knows her number only on instagram, plus she never gives her number. How did this person get her number? She felt a bit of adrenaline rush. Why would they have a problem with her being close to Gabriel? Was there something she didn't know? and that's how her night ended.

The next day, Rena and Amber did the same thing, cleaning the guest room and going out for dinner together, enjoying each other's presence.

When Amber got a text from her company about some new policies. Confused why the policies had suddenly changed, she quickly checked the internet to find out the CEO of her company had changed, and she wasn't aware or made aware. She checked her business email and other phone, she searched the company group to find the article, "the new CEO will have the conference on Monday" Monday was tomorrow and it was already night now, looking at Amber worried and stressed Rena suggested to go home. Amber drove faster she had to arrange a lot of stuff for tomorrow. Dropping Rena home, Amber left off to somewhere.

Morning, as usual, Amber dropped Rena to school and left for work. Amber was excited for something today a new CEO was joining today to her company which she was nervous about it and Amber gets a call from her sister named Kathy they are really close but she lives in other state Amber wants to meet her during new year and hopefully she would. Now Amber arrived at her company parking her car she gets out taking her bags.

(Amber's thoughts)

I just dropped Rena to her school and reached my workplace. One of the biggest journaling companies, I greeted the guards and everyone on my way towards the lift. I worked as the journalist then you must be wonder why I wasn't aware about the change myself I suppose it was a sudden decision or something's else I did tried to contact the president of the company him but I was unable to reach him.
