Brother's Boss {Casualty}

Fifteen

Madison stood in front of the mirror as she got ready for work. She was returning. But she was working upstairs in the wards.

She knew that she was nervous. But she knew it was what she needed. She needed a break from it all.

Madison smiled as she looked to Iain as he walked into the room. He wrapped his arms around her as she looked to him.

He smiled as he kissed her. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Madison smiled. "I'm okay. I'm just nervous. I know that this is what I need. I know it's for the best. But I'm still scared about it all you know," she said.

Iain nodded. "I know it's a big change. And the fact you don't see me as much is killing you. But I'm still there. It will be okay," he said.

Madison looked to him. She rolled her eyes. "You're a dork," she said.

Iain smirked. "But you love me," he said as he pulled her close.

Madison looked to him and smiled as she wrapped her arm around his neck and smiled. "I do. And I'm glad that you're here. I'm glad we have Esmè. And how everything seems to be fitting into place somehow," she said.

Iain looked to her and smiled.   "I'm going no where. I made breakfast for you. And Esmè wants to see her mummy."

Madison nodded. "I'll be down in a minute," she said as Iain nodded.

Madison smiled as she stood on the ward. Aimee walked over to her. She smiled. "Hey. Are you okay?" Aimee asked.

Madison looked to her. She shrugged and smiled. "I don't know. I'm nervous."

Aimee looked to her and smiled. "That's okay. It's a big deal changing. But it's a lot calmer up here and there's no rushing around. And you feel as if you are making a difference," she told her.

Madison nodded and smiled. "I know I need to feel that way after all that has happened. I need to feel as if I am helping." 

Aimee looked to her and nodded. "I get that. But it will be okay. I know how things are. I know how it's not easy. But it will be okay. Besides I'm here. And we can have fun up here," she said.

Madison looked to her and smiled. "Yeah we can."

Madison smiled as she walked into the ambulance bay. She saw Iain who looked to her and smirked. "And what are you doing down here?" He asked.

Madison looked to him. She smirked. "Well I had a break. So I thought I'd come down here and see you," she said as he grabbed her waist.

He pulled her close as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He leant in and kissed her. "Hmm is that so?"

Madison smirked. "I know how a lot has changed. Just promise me we will be okay," she said.

Iain looked to her and smiled. "I promise," he said.

Neither of them aware just how everything was about to change once again for them.
