Madison woke up in bed. She frowned as she realised that Iain wasn't in bed. She groaned as she stood up. She walked through the house as she saw Iain as he stood in the kitchen with Esmè.
She looked to them and smiled as she stood watching them. Iain turned to face her and smiled. "I thought I'd let you sleep. And that me and my girl could spend some time together," he said.
Madison grinned. "Well I woke up and you weren't there. I didn't like it," she said as Iain placed Esmè in her high chair and smiled.
He walked over to her. He pulled her close and kissed her. "Are you okay?" He asked.
Madison looked to him and nodded. "I'm good. I was just thinking about everything that happened. How I want us to be okay. I thought I'd head into work and enrol Esme at the crèche. See how she settles," she told him.
Iain smiled and nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. But are you sure that you're ready to go back to work?" He asked.
Madison looked to him and shrugged. "I don't know. But I know how I have to try. I know I want to give Esmè the best chance. Even if it means for me going back to work," she said.
Iain looked to her and nodded. "As long as it is what you want," he said.
Madison looked to him and smiled. "It is."

Madison got to work. She smiled as she saw Aimee. "What are you doing down here?" Madison asked.
Aimee smiled. "Just because I don't work down in the ED, doesn't me I can't come down here. I went to check on a patient who is being transferred. I didn't think I'd see you here," Aimee said.
Madison looked to her and shrugged. "You don't need to worry. I am not coming back full time. I just want to get Esmè settled in the crèche. And see about coming back part time," she told her.
Aimee looked to her. She grinned. "Well I'm glad. I miss you around here. If it's hard, you could always transfer upstairs. I mean you won't see Iain as much. But that does matter? Just think about it. It could be nice us working together again," she said as Madison looked to her and smiled.
She knew how Aimee could have a point by her transferring.

Madison walked into the ambulance bay. She smiled as Iain walked over. "I have a job interview. About moving upstairs. I think it's the best for Esmè and us. What do you think?" She asked.
Iain looked to her and smiled. "I think that you have to do what's best for you. And if this is what you want, I will support you," Iain said as she looked to him and smiled.
She placed a hand on his cheek and smiled as she leant in and kissed him.
Madison knew how none of it was easy. But she wanted to make it work. But would it be okay?
