Madison got ready for her night out with friends. She was a party animal. She always attended parties. She had just turned nineteen.
Madison went downstairs in her blue dress and heels. Her mum looked up. Madison knew she was adopted but she felt the woman who raised her was her real mum. She had an older brother named Jez. Jez was a paramedic. "I'm going now."
"Don't come back too late."
Madison smiled. Although she lived in her own flat, she often stayed over with her mum. "I'll probably go back to my place tonight but I'll text you."
Madison left the house and went to the club. She saw her friends Aimee and Leah. "Hey girl."
"Hey."
Madison ordered some drinks for everyone.
"You girls are going to have a wild night!" Madison said. Her friends laughed and nodded.
They all grabbed their drinks and began to drink.
"How's your brother?" Aimee asked.
"He's good. Always busy," Madison replied.
"Not got yourself a man yet?" Leah asked.
"Not yet," Madison laughed.
Leah grinned. "We'll find you someone."
"No. I'm staying single."
Aimee smirked. "Good girl."
As the night went on, Madison was getting more and more drunk. She got on stage. "Go Madi!"
Madison grinned and continued dancing.
Suddenly, Madison felt light headed. She fell off stage and hit her head. She knew her ankle was broken. Leah and Aimee ran to her. They immediately rang an ambulance.
"Come quick!" Aimee said.
Madison groaned and looked up.
"Ugh, my head and ankle," Madison complained.
"An ambulance is coming now," Leah told her. She held her hand.
"Just don't move."
Iain and Jez sped to the club.
"Right, we're here to help. Not anything else," Iain told him.
"Alright boss. Stop worrying!" Jez said. Iain rolled his eyes.
Madison had been sitting on a chair. She kept on being given water. She hated water. "I'm bloody fine."
"Drink!"
"I don't need it!"
Iain and Jez arrived at the club. "She's this way," the security guard said.
"Thanks pal."
They went over and Jez smirked. "Look who's here."
"Ugh! No!" Madison complained.
"Hello sweetheart!" Jez said.
"You know her?" Iain asked.
"He's my bloody step brother," Madison mumbled.
Iain checked over Madison's head.
"Right, we're going to have to get you to hospital," Iain said.
Madison pouted. "I don't want it."
"Tough."
"She's got a broken ankle too," Jez told her.
Madison glared at him. "Shut your ugly face."
Iain smirked. "She's a fiesty one."
"I'm not ugly. I'm pretty."
Madison scoffed. "Pretty ugly."
Madison was taken to the ambulance. Iain smiled at Jez. "You're driving."
"Ooo. I do I get you?" Madison asked.
They both rolled their eyes and got Madison into the ambulance.
Iain sat in the back and helped her.
"You're quite fit," Madison said. Iain laughed.
"You better watch it you," Iain joked.
Madison smirked as Iain bent over to pick something off the floor.
"Ooo! A pert bum too," Madison told him.
"She's cheeky!" Iain called to Jez.
"Takes it after yours truly," Jez commented.
Madison smirked. "I'm adopted by the way. I get nothing from him."
"I like her."
"Like you too."
Madison was taken into ED. "Right, this is Madison Andrews. Nineteen. Fell off a stage in a nightclub. Head injury and broken ankle."
"Resus."
Madison grinned at Iain. "See you later loverboy," she joked.
"Yeah babe," he said. Madison blew him a kiss.
Dylan and Alicia went to care for Madison.
"I'm Doctor Keough," Dylan said.
"I'm Madison."
"Very good."
"Can you just get me looked at? Goodness knows neither of us want to be here," Madison complained.
Dylan smiled. "I like her."
Alicia began flirting with people when Madison came back from her CT.
"Does she always do this?" Madison asked.
Dylan nodded. "She does. It's getting beyond a joke."
Madison groaned. "Silly tart."
Alicia walked in. "Sorry about that."
"Can you go away? I don't need tarts by me," she mumbled.
"I'm here to treat you."
Madison glared. "Back off!"
Iain ran over. "What's wrong sugar plum?"
"This tart here."
Alicia was shocked. "Do something!"
Neither Iain or Dylan said nothing.
"Great! Thanks!" Alicia spat. She walked off. Dylan walked after her.
Iain sat down beside Madison.
"You are feisty," Iain said.
Madison smirked. "I am indeed."
Iain smiled. "You're nothing like Jez."
"Yeah. I know."
"Cuter than him too."
Madison had to stay in for observation. She gripped Iain's hand. "You're probably busy but can you stay with me?"
"Of course I can," Iain said. Madison smiled.
"So tell me about you."
Iain chuckled. "I used to be in the army. I left due to anger issues and PTSD."
"I'm so sorry," she said.
"Don't be Madison."
Iain and Madison began talking. They really liked each other.
"You okay?" Iain asked when Madison began closing her eyes.
"Just tired from partying," Madison said. Iain laughed.
"It can do that to you."
Madison smirked. "I'm always partying."
"Yeah. Me too."
"We should party together."
Madison was falling asleep. Iain smiled at Lily. "She's Jez's sister. Keep an eye on her."
"She'll get the same treatment as everyone else," she said.
Iain pulled a face at Lily as she walked away. Jez laughed.
"How is she?" Jez asked.
"Tired from partying," Iain told him. Jez chuckled.
"You got a pen?" Jez asked. Iain handed him one.
Jez got down and wrote his name and a message on her cast.
"Ooo, my turn," Iain said. Jez and Iain switched places.
Iain wrote his message -
"Get well soon Sparkles,
Love Iain x"
Jez smirked. "You've given her a nickname?"
"Yeah. She's sparky aint she?"
Madison woke a few hours later and groaned. "Bloody hell."
"Morning Sparkles."
Madison looked at him weirdly.
"You what?" Madison asked.
"You're Sparkles."
Madison noticed her cast and stretched down to see the messages. She groaned.
"Why?" she asked.
"Your brother's idea!" Iain said.
"Jez!" Madison complained.
Iain smiled as Dylan came over. "You're free to go."
Madison grinned. "Anyone would think you work in prison," she said.
Dylan walked off. Madison smiled at Iain. "Well, it's time I went."
"I'll take you home."
"In the ambulance?" Madison asked. Iain laughed.
"If you want."
Iain got Madison into the ambulance. He drove her home. On the way, Madison kept talking.
"You know, this plaster cast will be a pain in the backside!" Madison complained.
"Shouldn't have been partying."
Madison laughed. "You're starting to sound like an old man."
Iain was shocked. "I'm not old."
"No. But the older men are, the more experienced in bed they are," she teased.
"I'm proud of that."
"Good."
Iain took Madison back to her flat. "Fancy a cuppa? Or a vodka?" She asked.
"Er. Cuppa. Gotta take the ambo back," Iain replied. He saw Madison hobble into the kitchen. "I'll do that Sparkles."
Madison smiled and sat down. Iain went to the kitchen area and made a cup of tea. Madison grinned.
"You're amazing old man," Madison said.
"Hey! Enough of the old sparkles."
Madison was handed a cup of coffee.
"Mmm, I bet this will taste amazing!" Madison said.
Iain smirked. "Well I do make good coffee."
Madison smiled as Iain sat opposite her. She knew one thing was for certain. She was falling for her brothers boss.
