I exchanged numbers with Bob before I left just so that we had it already. {E} Rise and shine. Time to see what we're made of.     {R} Hey, already awake, see you soon.  I smiled, I could almost hear the nervousness. I got ready and drove down, I hope that the nervousness goes away after a few days, he seems very kind. I walk over to the small set up tent, I assumed that's where we were going to be briefed. When I walked in I smiled knowing I was right. "Well if it isn't the stealth pilot part two." Hangman asked. "What year did you graduate from Top Gun? I don't remember you in any classes." I smiled and shook my head. "I never graduated." I said smugly. "Wow, now they let drop outs in." He said shocked. I shook my head before continuing. "No bagboy, I never went to Top Gun, I'm just that good that they brought me here in the first place. I'm only 23." The small area was filled with amazement and gasps. Then in walked Warlock. "Hangman, she is the only woman to have 4 air-to-air kills in her age range." Bagboys eyes went wide as saucers as he turned to me. "You have 4! And you never went to Top Gun?! How the shit did she get in here?" " I already told ya, I'm just that good. " After that I sat down naxt to Bob and waited for the course opener to start.

" You never went to Top Gun? " He asked me shyly. I shook my head and smiled.  "I never needed it they said. I was told that if I complete these threeish weeks then it would count as me graduating from here. I just hate telling people that because it makes me sound super  pretentious. " He nodded along. " Understandable. But that's still amazing, congratulations on that. " I looked at him gave a soft smile. " Thank you, really, no one really says that if they know. " I said genuinely. After that his shoulder and eyes relaxed a little bit but he didn't say anything after that. I smiled nonetheless, it was progress. "Hey since we're going to be spending a lot of time together why don't we get to know one another a little bit, if you want, I don't want to overwhelm you."  I said after a minute, there were still some people coming in. "Um, no, I think it's a good idea, I'm just a boring person." He said with a small sad smile. " Well I think your pretty cool so far." I said before realizing it. " Really?" He asked I smiled at him and nodded.  "Yeah." "I'm a weapons system officer, you already know that, uhh, I'm 28 I graduated 2 years ago, I like cats, and I don't drink, really at all." He said racking his brain for anything he felt I should know. I smiled and nodded along to what he was saying paying attention the whole time. " I'm a pilot, but you know that, I'm 23 and I graduated no years ago, I also like cats, I own one small Siamese named Spinx. And I don't normally drink a lot, every now and then I'll have a drink but it's normally water. " I told him joking slightly along with the things he said. He gave a genuine laugh but asked more about my cat.  " She's 3, the nicest cat you will ever meet, literally liquid. Um here's a picture.

"Aw" I smiled, he really does like cats, I haven't seen his eyes that wide

"Aw" I smiled, he really does like cats, I haven't seen his eyes that wide. We talked about cats for a while but then they started to brief us on why were here. Then my uncle walked in and hangman and the others turned back rather quickly since they are the ones that threw him out last night. I laughed and kept facing forward. When he got up to the podium he looked right at Bagman and said good morning in a very cheerful way. He looked awfully shy and mumbled morning back to him. He started by asking us if we all knew the book inside and out, and for that was a lot of differing responsed all following the same lines if Damn straight. Then in the most Maverick fashion, he threw in in the trash. "Here we go." I mumbles to myself but got a small chuckle from Bob. I smiled and risked a glance up at him, even sitting down he towered over me. But I was happt to know that my gaze was met with him already looking at me with a slightly dopey, cute smile. I smiled back at him before we were told that we were going up, to see where we are skill wise, in the air.

As Bob and I are walking to our aircraft I knew that I should probably tell him I fly a lot like Mav. "Hey, you trust me right?" I ask suddnely. He looks down to me and nodds suspiciously before saying yes, more like asking yes. I smile up at him, "Good, I'm going to need you to remember that when we get up in the air. It might make you a little dizzy." I said only half joking. He nodded but looked a little scared. "Ill make sure its something that you never forget." He smiled but wearily, "That was the last thing I heard a girl tell my friends brother at a bar once, next time I saw him he had chlamydia." Bob said with nothing less than a straight face. I laughed loudly, and looked back up at him waiting for him to laugh or tell me he was kidding. "Im not kidding." He said with now a small smile. It made me laugh harder. "I promise I wont give you chlamydia with my piloting." I said not being able to be serious. It was his turn to laugh hard. "Thats good, I dont think thats something that would be good for either of our records." he said as we climbed up into our craft. We were the first ones to go up, along with Bagman and Coyote.
