// timeskip to an hour later, billie and finneas are writing down lyric ideas in the studio. billie hasnt yet told finneas about what happened. meanwhile claudia had gone to a dinner with her friend, and had taken peaches with her. //
'okay, so i was thinking that after you say the first lyric of the song, the beat could kind of go like this.'
finneas hit play on his laptop, and a slow beat started playing out of the bluetooth speakers in the studio. billie listened to it, leaning back on her expensive as fuck takashi murakami pillow that she'd brought from the creator directly after doing a collab with him. after fourteen seconds of the music that finneas had put together after billie had gone to drew's house the previous day had ended, finneas looked at billie.
billie gave him a big nod of approval, a bag of takis sat in between her crossed legs.
'so that'll be the music that goes there until- or if we end up changing it all around.' he said, clicking off of the track to add it to what they'd done in the song file.
'wait billie, ive just had an idea.' finneas span around in his chair, to face his sister.
finneas explained to billie that he wanted to test out what it would sound like if she sang the lyrics they had for the song so far so he could add piano to it as she sung so that the beat would blend better. billie shrugged, before saying through a mouthful of food that it was worth a try.
she swallowed her food and had some water, and they began to work on the song.
this went on until 5pm, until billie felt too tired to do any more. she was proud of herself considering the physical and mental state she was in that she'd actually got some work on the song done.
so instead of writing more of the song, they started talking - and billie asked finneas how his dinner with claudia went.
'mmh, yeah. it went okay, we just spoke about things in general and didnt do much. but it was nice, im not complaining.' finneas said honestly.
'thats boring, haha.' billie commented.
just then, billie got a notification from instagram. 'this post might be related to you, billieeilish.' -instagram. hesitantly, she opened it while finneas had gone back to his computer after getting an email.

billie was spotted outside finneas' house earlier today in los angeles, this is the second picture of her ever with her new blonde hair.
'for fucks sake, i knew someone was watching me.' billie murmured.
finneas looked over at her questioningly.
'its nothing, just stupid fucking paparazzi waiting outside your house again to take pictures of me.' billie said, angry.
'they're seriously outside my house?' finneas asked, annoyed. billie nodded, passing finneas her phone so he could see for himself. 'ill let claudia know to come in round the back so they dont take pictures of her, too.' finneas said, texting his girlfriend immediately.
a few moments later, billie had turned off her phone and it was silent in the room. finneas had finished up with whatever he was doing, and he then asked her something.
'anyways, you asked me about my night, but what about yours? was it fun?'
billie had been dreading him asking this.
'look fin, ive already told claud so im gonna be honest with you.'
finneas nodded, watching her whilst picking up his glass of water and taking a sip.
'do you wanna hear the long or short story?' billie asked.
'whichever, i dont mind.' finneas replied, intrigued.
'mkay. ill tell you the whole story, i only told claudia the worst part.' billie muttered, readjusting her seating on her pillow as she started talking.
'we chilled at drews house, then went to my place, we both got ready and had lunch. then went to the party. it was really uncomfortable, we went to the kitchen to say hi to drew's friend and someone asked if i had a boyfriend and i could hear multiple people saying shit about me and stuff, we were only there for about an hour. we did shots and stuff with some people drew knew, uhh..' billie said, pausing. 'we went on the balcony of the dudes apartment and drew started smoking weed, her friends called her over and she left me by myself.' she took a breath in and continued. 'a girl i didnt know came up to me and we started talking, shes really pretty. drew came over after a few minutes and started acting all jealous about the fact i was talking to the girl, who's name turned out to be aria. drew was being really weird and i knew she didnt like aria -but i didnt know why. so we left and i gave aria my number so we could talk later if she wanted to.' she picked up her glass of water and drank some of it, and then kept on telling finneas the story, she'd gotten up to the part where they'd had an argument.
'she screamed at me again and told me to fuck myself and walked off, that was the last time i saw her. what happened after drew left me in the forest - well its still a massive blur. but long story short, i was walking home and met aria who was out with her friends, so we went to my apartment and drank until we were both shitfaced and i woke up this morning with a text from her saying she woke up in my bed and just went home.'
billie stopped talking, and looked at finneas.
'thats a really shitty situation for you and drew.' he said, his hand on his jaw. 'give her some time, it might take days .. or maybe months for drew to speak to you again. but you couldve been nicer to her about the kiss, you probably upset her more if im gonna be honest. and your situation- if thats what you'd call it with aria - is pretty fucked up too. im kind of getting the idea that aria's going to be the next drew until drew comes back into your life.' finneas said to billie, thinking out loud.
'its not exactly like that..' billie said, trying to justify herself even though she knew finneas had a point and he was mostly correct.
which yet again made billie feel selfish, but what else could she do at that moment?
she sighed, placing her glass on the table. 'so, anyway.. that was my night.' ——————————————————————————— this chapter was just more of billie venting about everythinggggg but next chapter itll be more billie and aria ❗️
