1: think of 'Memories' By Conan Gray a nice and happy song; I couldn't think of another one, sorry :/

2: I'll put in parentheses the age that I estimated for them at the top of every memory

3: This chapters long it's filled with, well, memories, duh lol. So, it's no drama ( in present time) and nothing really happens in present time.

4: so, if you don't want to read all of that, it's fine; this chapters about the past of Rowan and Eddie, the beginning of them, and cute and sad parts of everything. Enjoy! <333

"Okay, recess, kids!" Mrs. Battle yelled over her loud classroom. 8 year old Rowan followed the class out of their room, still talking to her friend, Jessica.

"I hope so! I'll ask" Jessica said excitedly to Rowan. They were planing a sleepover, because Jessica really wanted to get out of family game night, and to see Rowan's new baby brother.

Rowan kept going on about him not having collarbones, or teeth. And how cute he was when he smiled. Jessica just listened, she liked to listen, she's not usually a talkative person, and Rowan liked to talk, so it worked perfectly.

Once outside, the girls had completely changed the topic.

"No, pineapples are really good!" Rowan argues.

"No. they. are. not! Their sour and eeww" Jess makes a throw up face; sticking her tongue out and pointing in her mouth with her Index finger, making both girls giggle.

Little Rowan was playing on the swings with Jess, when she saw a boy with shoulder length curly black hair.

Hmm, never seen him before.

She thought to herself. He was playing in the sandbox alone, making sandcastles. Being the nosy rowan she is, she jumped off the swing, leaving her friend alone, and walked toward the boy.

She walks into the sandbox, sits next to him, and smiles at him. He looks at her confused, letting her take in all his features.

he's cute

Rowan giggled to herself, then, out loud, said; "hi" she waves shyly.

He waved back and mumbled a 'hi', going back to making sandcastles. But he was, once again, interrupted by the little girl.

"What's your name? My names Rowan, or you can call me Ro! My baby brother calls me 'wowan' 'cause he can't say Rowan. He's really cute! Kinda like y- i mean, what's your name?" The girl rambles, stopping once she almost embarrasses herself, letting the boy answer.

"My names Eddie, Eddie Munson. I don't have a little brother, or sister; it's just me" he says, seeing the light blush on Rowan's cheeks but being oblivious to it.

"Hi, Eddie, can i help?" He just nods, letting her grab some sand and put it into the sand bucket. They sit like that for a while, making sandcastles, in silence. Every once in awhile Rowan would look up, to look at the cute boy, who let her play with him.

She tried to remember him, but, she's never noticed him before. Weird.

What Rowan didn't know was what was going through Eddie's mind right then.
