Steddie :)

Meeting new people.

Slight smut warning!
  (Not between Eddie and Steve though)
"Eddie, h-how could you do this?"
"Steve c'mon we ended things weeks ago."
"And you've already moved on?!?"

"Having sex is not moving on, Steven,hell we never even had sex ourselves."

"Because I wasn't ready to! Eddie how could you not understand."

"So you where experimenting with me?"
"We're done Harrington and we have been for 3 weeks."

"Wha- what no, I loved you Eddie but you're high and you where just fucking another guy, I just can't."

But that's not how Steve saw things.

🚖flashback 🚖

Eddie and Steve were standing outside of K-Mart just walking out the door

"Man this shit is expensive." Steve muttered

"Well Hawkins is in fucking pieces so it's not gonna be cheap." Eddie snarled.

" hey Ed's, I was thinking about looking for jobs out of Hawkins.."

"Why. Why leave Hawkins."

"Because I want more out of life, I mean I hear Indianapolis is really great for starting over. Or maybe Miami?"

"Steve, you're not leaving Hawkins, we have so much here."

"You, you have so much here. I have some things but I don't want to be living in a torn apart town forever."

"Then we move west of here."

"No Eddie, I want to move to a good town a new start, far away from hawkins."

"Then maybe we don't want the same things in life, I'll talk to you later steve."

🚖flash back over🚖

Eddie and Steve where both devastated, but Steve didn't care about anything else except the fact that Eddie didn't care at all.

"Steve look man, I needed to clear my head and I did what I had to do in order to have a clear head."

" maybe just stop acting like you never met me."

"Steve it's not even that deep, calm down."

"Oh really, well I'm gone Eddie, I'm leaving."

"Ok then go."

But all Steve wanted Eddie to say was that he was sorry and that he wanted him to stay.

And so Steve did leave,he left Hawkins, and booked a flight out to New York, Indianapolis was too close. And he had some redeeming qualities right?

He rushed home and threw everything in 2 suitcases and a carryon.

And then called his parents and told them where the house key would be.

6 am departure

The next day-

Steve stumbled out of bed
It was 3 am, he had three hours until he'd start a new life

He went and took a very quick shower, and then called a taxi to take him to the airport so he wouldn't leave his car at the airport for however long he'd be gone. Which he thought would be forever

The taxi ride was peaceful yet nerve racking, was he really ready for this new life? Maybe Eddie was just too scared to tell him to stay?

Steve didn't know what to do, he tried not to cry right there in that seat. He felt a mess and was very close to staying there in Hawkins forever
