bridge creek

"guys, i really don't want to go," paige said to wyatt and milo who were helping her pack her bag. "i mean, what even is swellview? what's there a swell view of?"

"i'm sure the name of the town has nothing to do with what's actually in it," wyatt said, sitting down on her bed as she looked at pictures on her phone.

"yeah i mean we live in a town called bridge creek," milo chimed in, browsing through her jean drawer. "we have no bridges, and the closest thing we have to a creek is that sketchy lake that always has dead fish in it."

"you guys might be right, but i'm scared these cousins of mine are going to be weird."

"don't be so quick to judge dude."

"well what if they don't like me?" paige asked after putting her phone down.

"since when does the paige holland care about what other people think of her? you're like the most outgoing person i know!" wyatt told her, putting down the pile of clothes he just folded.

"i'm only super outgoing to overcompensate for the fact that i deeply care about what everyone else thinks about me. if you really cared about women's issues, you'd know that wyatt."

"that's not very woke of you," milo
chuckled as she successfully instigated and got into wyatt's head.

"what?" wyatt said standing up like he was about to give a speech. "i am very woke, and as a matter of fact: i care a lot about women's issues, some could even argue i care the most about women's issues. i mean, i care about my mom, willow, you guys, rihanna, beyonce, even taylor swift!" he began to ramble while the two girls had laughing fits in separate parts of the room.

eventually he decided to give up and sat on the chair in front of paige's desk. "aww poor wy, we bothered him too much," milo said with exaggerated care. "come here." she pulled him in for a hug letting him know she felt bad, even if it was fake sympathy. after the two let go, they both looked over to paige to see what she was going to do."

"yeah i'm not doing that, stay woke wyatt."

"jasper, i thought we told you a few seasons ago we would never come down in your basement ever again," charlotte said with worry as they were standing outside the door to the stairs.
