Sky locked his door. It was yet another week for him but after past weekend, he felt like he had been awakened from a dream. Sig's appearance was a sign that things were not good back at home and his father was just trying to keep his sons safe.
He sighed.
How long would he be able to finish his training period if father meddled with his business again?
The last time when he was in medical school, he had to stall his study for two semesters due to a bloody incident that almost killed him. Some Father's enemy came and kidnapped him while he was in campus. He caught a blind bullet while Father's team tried to save him and had to spend quite some time to recover. During that time, Father asked him to quit school because it would be too dangerous later on but Sky was not a known obedient son.
So, Father compromised. He let Sky graduated – thank God he was brilliant he was able to graduate together with his other batch members. Sky discussed the matter of quitting family business but of course Father wouldn't let him, so Sky compromised by telling him that he's going to practice as a doctor and only being a part time member of family business.
Father agreed.
Sky walked alone to the office. Rain was already there when he arrived.
When he opened the door, he saw a man taller than him with a ponytail and sharp cat eyes walked out. The man bowed momentarily to Sky and Sky reciprocated.
Rain was standing up with his hair a bit disheveled.
"Who--?" Rain's face turned crimson. Sky smirked, the man might be Rain's special someone.
"It's one of our chef here," Rain straightened his jet black hair, and noticed Sky was staring. "He's here for the diet menu,"
"Oh," Sky's brows rose. "Chefs supposed to come here for menu?" Rain nodded eagerly.
"Yes, special menu from the dietitian,"
"How special," Sky teased, he almost laughed at Rain's reaction. It was fun to see him flustered – obviously the man was not just coming for menu. Rain might be the menu himself.
"What did you do this weekend?"
"Nothing," Sky appreciated the effort Rain's putting to change the subject. "Just hang around the gym and some birthday celebration,"
"You went to the volleyball celebration?"
"You know about it?" Rain nodded. "Who did they celebrate?"
"I think it's the boy who hit the ball on you last time,"
"Great," it's Prapai. "What was the celebration? His birthday? I think I heard they sang happy birthday,"
"No, I don't think so. My information told me it's because that boy been accepted into the national program again,"
"I thought all the athletes here play for the country?"
"Yeah, and he was the one selected for a special program to represent ASEAN I guess." Rain scratched the back of his neck. "It's some kind of scholarship program, so I think it's more of academic thing rather than ball thing,"
"You don't seem like you're well versed in explaining how it works,"
"Yeah. I don't give a damn as long as I get my pay at the end of the day, I couldn't care less," Rain shrugged.
"And as long as you get to see the pony tailed boy, you're happy as it is."
"Doctor Sky!" Sky laughed when Rain's scandalised face emerged.
