Day 5 of being here and he already gotten the hold of it. Sky managed to meet almost all the main employees in the three buildings. He tried all three cafeterias provided in the facility and went to meet the dietitians. The cafeterias provided meals catered for the most suitable food for athletes according to what game they're playing.
Cases at the doctor's office were almost as boring as in the hospital. Sky concluded that was why the previous trainees love to observe the athletes at their natural habitat.
The fields.
So, Sky didn't really stay in his office all day. He only attended the severe strain cases, or the fractured bones and sent them to hospital if needed. Rain was happy to inform him if the patients came when he was roaming around the complex.
Today, he planned to watch the volleyball practice. P-Ray who's supposed to accompany him today was assigned to the football team. He was not yet assigned to any team because it was still too early. Later on, as a trainee he would need to follow a sports team to a competition to see their progress and later on worked with the dietitian and the physiotherapist to enhance their chance in winning by tackling the technical support of a winning athlete.
It was chaotic. He never thought volleyball practice was this loud. The boys were screaming, might be singing and doing Hakka together with how loud their voices together. Sky walked in and sat at a nearby chair which reeked of sweat and sporty perfume. He watched the boys jumped and rolled on the floor in sync, the balls were in the middle of their circle. They were so energetic.
He could never...
He laughed to himself. It had been a while since he's been doing any sport. His body was still in skinny mode, but his stamina had gone down the drain unlike when he was younger. His six packed abs before already transformed into one man bun and he liked the thin layer of fat around it.
He felt like somebody was watching. He looked up and saw the same boy he met before, who hit him with a ball.
Prapai!
The boy was staring intensely at him like a predator and it made him felt self-conscious all of a sudden. Sky tried to brush off the stare because he was used to it multiple times before.
The boys started their practice with the serve and paired each other. Sky watched as Prapai paired with a fair skinned guy with the same type of body with him. Sinewy. Sky subconsciously touched his own biceps; the toned muscle was way thinner than the two athletes. Prapai's eyes lingered to him again, and he smiled when he noticed Sky was watching him. Sky's brows hooked. Prapai winked.
Sky coughed almost instantly by Prapai's gesture.
He was playful and knew he was hot!
Prapai laughed and continued balancing the ball with his partner.
Sky shook his head and watched the other athletes work their asses of.
"Come to see me, doc?" Sky was drinking water from the cafeteria's cooler when Prapai suddenly came up behind him. He turned and smiled.
"I'm here to supervise,"
"I'm glad to be the one you oversee," Prapai grinned. He was especially lovable when he smiled like that. His wet hair suited him even more.
"Prapai, go back to your game,"
"I'm already done for the day," Prapai said as he cradled his bag with his left arm. "I'm going to go back to the hostel and prepare for student's event later,"
"Such a busy day,"
"Yeah..." Prapai said with a smug grin. "I'm trying my best to attend to everything so that I can secure the scholar,"
"You're not equipped with the scholarship yet?"
"I did. But I need to maintain it with sports and academic activities to make sure I get the full scholar, not just for the tuition,"
"Full?"
"Yes," Prapai nodded. "They provided you with student allowance depending on how busy you are as a student, so I need to keep up,"
"Sounds like you're busy from day 1," Sky smiled and finished his drinks and threw the paper cup into the recycle bin. "I don't want to stall you, then. Off you go,"
"I can spare my time for you," Sky shook his head lightly and stared at Prapai. Prapai was standing very close to him that the height difference was quite apparent. He had to lift his head up to see Prapai eye to eye. "Scholarship can wait," Prapai winked, making Sky's heart leap in his chest.
"No, nong." Sky shook his head. "Scholarship is important," Sky put a hand on Prapai's chest. It was broader than he remembered, standing this close to the boy. "Don't let others tell you otherwise,"
"The adults won't let me have a one-minute break," Prapai pouted. Sky almost laughed at his handsome face. "Was it with you when you're in school?" Sky didn't have the gut to tell him who sponsored his whole years in the university. It was his father, but he shouldn't know who his father really was.
"I'm glad I'm pass that now. You should work your ass off when you're young. You still have a long way to go,"
"You talk like an old person," Sky laughed and he saw Prapai did the same.
"I'm not old,"
"How old are you?" Sky shook his head.
"You're over friendly. Didn't anyone tell you that?" Prapai shook his head. He just wanted the conversation over even though he was starting to enjoy the presence of the boy. Prapai's eyes lit up when he laughed and he was attracted to the small mole just right his left eye. What it would be like to kiss it?
Sky blushed at the thought of it.
Crap.
He shouldn't be thinking about stuffs like that when he was with the athletes as they were his potential patients.
He turned around and wanted to walk away. But Prapai wouldn't just let him walk away.
"Dr Sky!" people in the cafeteria started to notice the commotion. Prapai clearly was one of the most attractive people in the same area, and it would be easy for him to attract attention. Sky could feel the blood rushing to his face when Prapai tried to walk beside him. "Please, can you please have at least one dinner with me?"
You will never stop, right? Sky wanted to push Prapai away but it would be too rude to do it here, and almost all of the athletes knew he was the physician trainee here. He wanted to build good reputation here and being in the middle of a commotion was not going to look very well in his resume.
"Nong Prapai," he whispered. "I advise you to see me as a physician here," he put a hand on Prapai's shoulder. Prapai smiled, and again Sky was mesmerized by how beautiful the smile was. Prapai's body stepped closer to him making Sky walked backward a bit. Prapai turned and kissed the tips of Sky's fingers on his shoulder making the older man pulled his hand back.
"I will, Dr Sky." He winked and turned and left the cafeteria.
Sky stood there alone, puzzled.
