A/N Quite a bit mature this chapter, yeah. Read at your own discretion, thank you for sticking to this part of the story 😊😊😊
Sky sat down in front of Prapai with the food that he bought. Prapai grinned when Sky took a sip of the refreshing iced tea.
"I'm just glad you allowed me to enter your room,"
"What about your foot?"
"Getting better. I can jump higher now than ever," he said cheerfully as if being sick didn't bother him at all. "I'm going to get really sick if I can't meet you anytime soon,"
"Stop flirting," Sky rolled his eyes but Prapai just laughed it off. Sky was happy Prapai was back to his own self. Not that he knew who Prapai was before.
Somehow, he saw Prapai in a different light now. Prapai had become more mysterious now even with the persona he emitted right now. There was so much more to Prapai than just being a hardworking student-athlete. He was someone else with a responsibility to uphold his family's name.
He wondered if Prapai knew about his family. He wondered if Prapai did any background check on him and just pretending to be oblivious about it. He wondered if Prapai knew him the first day they met and knew the fate that could befall them if they're together.
Prapai's smile faltered when Sky kept silent.
"What is it?" Prapai noticed Sky didn't talk much, he knew he was being observed.
"Nothing..."
"You are always like that,"
"I'm tired, Prapai. Please don't argue tonight," Sky stared at the candied pineapple that Prapai brought him. He loves sweet desserts but his appetite died early tonight.
"I'm worried about last time," Prapai grasped Sky's hand on the table, and squeezed it gently. Sky's gaze trained on their intertwined fingers. "That's why I returned earlier,"
"I can take care of myself,"
"I want to take care of you, Doc Sky," Prapai held Sky's cheek. Sky watched Prapai – he was searching for some truth in Prapai's words. Why do Prapai act like this? How long would he keep up with this act?
"Who are you, nong Pai?" Sky's tone was severe. His cold tone was different from before and he knew Prapai noticed it.
"I'm the one who's pursuing you."
"No, Prapai..." Sky clicked his teeth. "Who are you, really?"
There's something shifted inside the younger guy when Sky pulled his fingers back. They still maintained the same eye contact – Sky was brave enough to confront Prapai even when his heart felt like it was immersed in cold water.
Maybe Sig was right this time.
Prapai was a dangerous man, he could be a hazard to Sky.
And Sky wanted to face the consequences after this confrontation. There's no use in beating around the bush to make Prapai reveal himself. He could hear the wind blew from his opened window, he could feel the breeze brushing against both of them. It was chilly, and as cold as Prapai's gaze right now.
Prapai sighed and shook his head.
He turned and ran his fingers through his hair. He looked positively attractive with the gesture and if it's up to Sky he would want to run his fingers through it too but now it's not appropriate. Prapai was tense and it was palpable.
"I asked my father about you." Sky said after Prapai remained silent. "From my family's point of view, I shouldn't be associated with you at all,"
"Is that what you really believe?" if looks could kill, Sig would be attending Sky's funeral anytime soon.
