Sky entered the office with a severe headache, bloated face, and swollen eyes. Rain was already there when he arrived, all smiley while texting. Sky was very irritated by his happy face. It reminded him of the misery he was in right now and he hated it. He already took double painkiller for his headache, as P-Ray already told him that he's going to the hospital university today for some business.
Sky scoffed. P-Ray would stay the whole day at the university so it did mean that he would be the only physician in charge of the centre today.
"Do you hear the current news?" Rain asked after Sky settled down in his chair. Sky replied with a hmm. "The harassment happened again."
"Harassment?"
"Didn't I tell you before that lady trainees usually stayed in the office and not at the field?"
"Uh-huh,"
"Well, the harassment at the field started again around last week." Rain said matter-of-factly. "People coming to the field to see athletes practice were acting as hooligans and tried to harass some lady athletes. Some were trying to hold their hand, some were taking pictures with weird angles of the athletes,"
"Did they report it to the police or..."
"I heard it was impossible to get the police to interfere because they are just practicing,"
"Practicing or not, it's still a violation of centre's rules – to be letting those hooligans rioting here," Sky shook his head. "Should I just let it pass?"
Rain didn't say a thing, but he seemed like he agrees with Sky even when he was scared. What was he scared of?
"Why didn't I get any report on any harassment?" Rain shrugged. Sky massaged his forehead. Even when those athletes were mostly of 18 years old, there were still small group of athletes that were underage and it was Sky's responsibility to protect the youngsters. "Should I just close my eyes instead?"
"Dr Sky..." Rain felt Sky's mood was severe today. He hated working with a moody medical officer because it would cause the management of patients quite stressful and tense. "The athletes only just complained about this,"
"Should I go and take a look at any particular hall?"
"It's mostly at indoor halls,"
One particular face appeared inside Sky's mind. He was worried that his family's enemy could track him down here and try to mess things up.
But there were also other cases happened here before he stepped his foot inside.
It might be related and he could rest assured that it didn't involve his family's enemy. How could his family's enemy be here years before? So it would be impossible.
Wrong.
He knew the men that lingered around in the volleyball centre. They were sitting at the end of the hall with all black outfit and wearing sunglasses like foolish spies that only exist in movies. Sky walked in, and hope the men didn't notice him entering. He put on a cap to hide his face and it was because the weather was quite hot too.
The men were from his family's enemy.
Why were they here?
Sky squinted to see who they were observing. Prapai was practicing with others – looking as dreamy as ever.
Focus, Sky!
Sky swallowed his courage and prayed that the men didn't see him weaving his way in the crowd watching the athletes practicing. They were focusing on one man, and that man was Prapai.
