Wei Ying's pov

Everyone in the family started to come into the hug, and soon it became a group hug. It felt safe, and soon, I had stopped crying.

No one's pov

As Wei Ying stopped crying, the hug started to disperse. Madam Yu still held a pretty firm grip around him to make sure that he really was okay. After a few more minutes, everything was calm again, and Madam Yu would start to apologize to Wei Ying, and Wei Ying would say it was fine.

Wei Ying's pov

Soon, aunt Yu started with her sorries again. This happens every time we have to act and she said something that she knew hurt me. Just because of that accident. Sometimes, I wish that we didn't need to act, but we need to...

(Still Wei Ying's pov)

It's been about a month since Shushu brought me to Lotus Pier. I don't think that people likes me very much. Everyone are staring at me with hatred in their eyes. It's nothing normal, but it still hurts. I wish I could just disappear.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN "MY SON HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED"" I suddenly heard Madam Yu scream. Oh no, did dágé get kidnapped?! I ran away from the sect house. I needed to find dágé!

-5 hours later-

I was still running around, trying to find my new brother. Yes, even though he might not see me as a brother, I see him as my brother, and he can't change that.

He must be somewhere in this forest. I've searched through the whole Lotus Pier, so now it must be the forest in the background.

No one's pov

Sure enough, Wei Ying started to see a light from a campfire and smoke going up to the sky. He hid behind a tree and listen to the kidnappers.

"With the new sect heir, we'll get much coin" kidnapper number 1 said.
"Yeah, and with the state he's in right now, they will need to pay quite soon, otherwise he might die."

This scared little Wei Ying, so he perked around the tree, and what he saw made his eyes tear up to the point of him almost exposing himself because of a sob.

Before him, laid a his dágé, his skin tattered with bruises and you could see his arms and legs were broken almost beyond repair. It was heartbreaking.

Little Wei Ying couldn't hold it and let out a heartwrenching sob, and the 2 kidnappers heard him. They quickly stood up and walked towards him.

"What's a little brat like you doing out here" the second kidnapper said and picked him up from the ground.
"He's probably a little boy spying on us or a servant sent to find the sect heir" the first kidnapper said.
"What did you do to my dágé?!" Wei Ying shouted, hoping to get to the other people from the sect's attention.
"Oh, I don't think we should tell you that" the second kidnapper said, smiling evilly at the child.

"W-Wei... Wei Ying... w-what are y-you d-doing h-here.. w-where are we...?" Jiang Cheng started to say while trying to move, but stopped when he felt how immobilized he was.
"Dágé!" Wei Ying said, causing Jiang Cheng to wake up a little more.
"Dágé? Y... you see me a-as an o-older b-brother?" He asked, shocked and surprised.
"Of course!! You will probably never see me as your dìdì, but I'll always see you as my dágé" Wei Ying answered, smiling with tears in his eyes.

"Okay guys, stop now. We all know that all that you said is fake, you're just in it for the protection. Either way, now sect heir, right now you can't move, right? Right. So, to be able for you to go back to your sect, your parents will need to pay some coin for you to be able to get back to your home. But looking at how we beat your body, I don't think that you'll live long enough for that to happen" the first kidnapper said, going with his hand to shut him up. (They had written a letter to Yu ZiUan and Jiang FengMian while they were kidnapping Jiang Cheng)
