Chapter 7

-Earlier-

Jiang Cheng's pov

As soon as I felt the light of the sun coming down, I closed my eyes and let it embrace me. As soon as it did, I saw a figure infront of me. The figure started to walk towards me, and when it became clearer, it was a vulp fox. But it wasn't a normal one. It was white instead of red, and its eyes was a mix between red and pink.

It looked at me, and I heard a voice. It sounded soft and sweet, almost like a sister or mother's caressing. It would make almost anyone calm down from a frenzy. The voice said:

"I see I've finally found you" it said as it ran into my body, causing me to fall back a little. As I felt my body morph into the fox, it said something else to me.
"Submissive"

-Present- (still Jiang Cheng's pov)

Everyone started to hug me, causing me to cry even more. It felt as if I had put the clan to shame. Everyone learns that the dominants will always be stronger, even though if you as a submissive train very hard. And now I, the sect heir, is shown to be a submissive. I'll never be able to take over!
As if sensing my thoughts, A-Ying started to speak.

"Jiang Cheng! Don't you ever think your useless! You're my dàgè. You should know that you'll always be strong to me!"

Everyone looked a little scared at A-Ying, since he never calls me by my real name, other than when we have our facades on, and then looked at me, and I felt the sadness in their eyes, even when I closed my eyes. Then suddenly, I felt many arms around me, hugging me tightly.

Right then, I felt happy.

No one's pov

After a few minutes, the group hug dispersed. Or almost. Wei Ying stood by his side and side hugged him for moral support. Jiang Cheng was grateful for it, since he needed it to tell his family the rest of the news he got.

But before he could tell everyone that he was a submissive, he suddenly got a headache and fell down too his knees, clutching his head.

Wei Ying, who didn't know what was going on, fell down with him and started to try and comfort him.
"What's happening to him? Why's he like this?" Wei Ying asked a little frantic.
"It's normal. Since he's not partially transformed, his spirit animal will want to oppose him. That's why we usually are in semi-state" aunt Yu said, her concern showing on her face.

"A-Cheng"

Everyone looked at Jiang Yanli. Even though she looks like the one that would have the least peace with her spirit animal because she seemed so sweet, and the spirits beasts are usually pretty fierce,she was the one that is the most at peace with hers, meaning that she can help others the most.

"You'll need to talk to your spirit, and every dominant will have to leave. That might also be the problem" Jiang Yanli said, looking at her fiancé and her father.
They got the look and went outside. Since Wei Ying hadn't had his awakening yet, he didn't smell of anything yet, so he wasn't a problem.

"Okay A-Cheng, I'll need you to sit in lotus position. The first time you do this, you might get overwhelmed, so it's best to sit down" Jiang Yanli instructed her little brother.
"Then you need to concentrate, like when you meditate. You'll need to see you spirit animal in your mind, and make sure you don't force yourself on it, it may be just as scared as you" she instructed once again.

Jiang Cheng nodded, setting himself in lotus position and trying to calm down. Once he felt a little calmer, he closed his eyes and started meditating, Wei Ying right by his side.

Jiang Cheng's pov

I closed my eyes and started to look around inside of me, and sure enough, there was the white vulp fox with abnormal eyes.

"Hi there. What's your name?" I asked, realizing that it didn't tell me that before we changed.

"My name is Fei Jie (1)" he answered

"What a nice name, I'm Jiang Cheng" I answered back.

"I know. While you don't know our names before we tell you, we get your name after the first transformation" A-Jie said back.
I'm not gonna lie, I got a little shocked. A-Niang and A-Die never told me this.
"A-Ah, okay" I answered. "W-Well, do you wanna transform half way? I can still talk to people and you'll feel a little free. We can go out in your form tonight" I asked Jie

"It would be a pleasure master" A-Jie answered back.
"Ahh, please don't call me that. Just call me A-Cheng please" I asked him.
"Alright... A-Cheng" A-Jie said, and he closed his eyes. I closed them as well, taking it as a sign that I should do it as well, and suddenly I was back in my world, and I had A-Niang, JieJie(2), Madam Jin and A-Ying by my side.

I felt on my head, and there were fox ears on my head. Ismiled.

'Ahh, I think It'll take a long time before I get used to this' I thought to myself.

"I hope you'll get used to it fast, because I felt our mate out there"

As you see, I've put some numbers in brackets. That means that there is something I'll explain here.

(1) I choose Jie as the name of Jiang Cheng's spirit animal. While it mean sister, it also means pure or heroic. You say it Chyeh.

(2) Jiang Cheng will call Jiang Yanli JieJie, so you don't get confused.
