No one's pov

As the Jiang family went out of the Swords hall, the Jin family (Jin Zixuan and Madam Jin) and someone from the Lan family went out of the hall in secrecy while all the other cultivators still screamed at each other.

The Jiang's were very worried about Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng especially. He was scared that there was something wrong with his Dídí that they didn't know about, that maybe stopped the transformation.

They went inside Jiang Fengmian's and Yu Ziuan's room, the Jin family following after.

Lan Huan, however, was looking for the Jiang family regarding a very serious matter, when he saw Madam Jin and Jin Zixuan enter the Sect leader's room. That made him curious.

He went down the hall and waited outside the door, not eavesdropping. Note the sarcasm.

Jiang Cheng's pov

We went inside A-Die's and A-Niang's room, Peacock and Madam Jin following after.
"A-Ying, can you tell us what happened?" I asked him, worried.

"Alright" he said. But then he somehow shifted. The next second, a beautiful Kitsune was standing in front of us.
"W... Wow" Peacock said, then turning red with embarrassment.
"A-A-Ying... what is this?" A-Die asked, just as shocked as we all were.

The Kitsune form started to shift back to A-Ying, but it wasn't human Wei Ying who stood there, it was Human Wei Ying with animal features. He didn't even need help to go into that form. But he only had 1 tail... What?

Wei Ying's pov
-Flashback-
-To the awakening-

"I was thinking that, to keep you safe, I should be in our human form during the day when everyone can see us, and that we'll shift into your form during the night, and go on runs and hunt" I said.

"Hmm... It is a good idea, but taking me into consideration, what would I get out of it?" Shiwen asked. I knew this would come.

"You will get to hunt, and run fully free during the night, and you'll be safe as well, I'm not really gaining anything, it's mostly for you" I told Shiwen, truly meaning it.

"You will be subjected to ridicule, just because you want me too be safe?" it asked, seemingly surprised.
"Of course, it's the right thing to do in order for you and me to be safe. People are greedy after all" I answered, knowing what people can do to get what they want.
"... Alright, I accept the deal, but I won't be having full control ..., we will need to control our body together. We are stronger together as one"

-Flashback ends-

I told them everything that happened, some taking it relatively well, some not so well.
For A-Cheng, it seemed like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. He seemed to have been worried. A-Li just smiled at me, also seemingly relieved.

Yu-Āyí and Jiang-Shushu though seemed troubled. Madam Jin was just shocked. And peacock, well, still embarrassed.

Jiang Cheng's pov

"A-Cheng, our mate is outside by the door" Fei Jie told me.

No one's pov

Jiang Cheng suddenly started walking towards the door. He opened it, revealing a startled Lan who backed away from the door. Jiang Cheng blushed and closed the door again, or at least tried to.

A foot clad in white shoes with a blue sole stuck through, effectively keeping the door open.
"P-Please, may I come in?" A mature voice asked.
"Of course Young Master Lan" Jiang Fengmian said, knowing how their secret was out.
