Baela looked forward to something for once in her life. The moment Moondancer was taken safely back to the dragon pit, the Princess felt the sudden loss of having to wait for another storm to pass by. This was only her second time, and yet, she couldn't imagine what her life would be without it.

This was a little secret only she was allowed to know, and that excited her. All the possible things she could learn, all the information she could get, why had she never pondered the possibility of time travel before?

Did Aerea Targaryen experience this as well when she claimed a dragon and flew to Old Valyria? Maybe the reason no one had ever found her or her dragon was because she had also gone through the storm.

" I was waiting"

Baela flinched back in alarm. Aemond who had made an appearance seemingly out of nowhere raised a brow at her. She had only just left Moondancer behind and hadn't fully made it out of the pit yet. Only now did she notice Aemond was leaning against the door of the secret chambers they had spent so much of their time in together? He was waiting. But why?

" Out flying again, Cousin?"

" I don't see how that's any of your concern, Cousin" Baela spat out in a similar fashion to Aemond. He always called her by a cousin, but the few occasions he did call her by her name were the times she kept to her heart.

" Kings Landing can be a very dangerous place to fly a dragon at this time of year. If you manage to get stuck in a bad storm, your death wouldn't be worth the fun"

" Just admit it! You are trying to apologize for last time, but your fucking ego won't let you!"

" My, what use of language do you have" Aemond smirked. He liked it better with her reacting like this. To Aemond, an angry Baela was better than no Baela at all. The prince was sadistic, egotistic, and a tyrant, how in the world had she fallen so helplessly for him?

Baela sighs. She saw no point in carrying on with this conversation. She was exhausted and would rather spend the night gaining back the sleep she had lost, rather than deal with Aemond's taunts. The Targaryen princess doesn't respond to him, she turns around to leave but only makes a few steps before Aemond yanks her back.

She sees stars at how roughly Aemond pushes her to the wall. Her cousin glares at her, his purple eyes glinting dangerously in the low lighting.

" Do you fancy my brother now? Is that it?"

" He is to be my husband, I see no reason why I can't fancy him" Baela bites her lip hard to keep from grinning because the look on Aemond's face was priceless. This was an expression she didn't see on him quite often, and it mostly was never directed at her. Jealousy. Baela had only seen Jealousy in Aemond's eyes when Viserys talked about Rhaenyra. The King loved his first daughter, he never tried hiding how much he cared about her more than his other children

Viserys might have been a peaceful king, but he did a very poor job of being a father. Both brothers did actually. Daemon wasn't a good father either.

" This is only a political wedding Cousin, do not forget about that" Aemond's grip tightened on her shoulders. He looked down at her with anger, Baela can only return his gaze with a soft smile on her face.

Minutes passed by in silence. Eventually, Aemond leans down to kiss her just like she knew he would. He holds her like she was the rarest blade he had ever wielded. His mouth moves against Baela softly, apologetically, She kisses him back.

Apology accepted.

Baela got invited for tea by Haelena. Daemon's daughter can't help thinking that perhaps Haelana was more happy about her marrying Aegon than anyone else was.
