There was no way of shaking her off, Baela was a lot heavier than Aegon would have expected. " You are not a woman" he slumps down on the floor, watching Baela's expression morph into one of victory.

She glowed when happy, but most times she only ever had a stoic expression on her face. She was a lot like her father. Aegon used to hear King Viserys gloat about how much Daemon was fond of his little girl. Pick one over the other, both brothers were alike in that manner. Always picking out their favorite children and prioritizing them over the rest.

" Do Not mess up my hair"

" Calm your nerves" She reassures him " I have cut my hair countless times in the past, yours is less troublesome"

Aegon couldn't tell whether she was lying or not, but her words drew his attention to her grey curls, so very rare and beautiful. He would run his hands through them if the woman didn't scare him. He remained still as she trimmed his hair, it went well, but he wouldn't trust a woman with scissors on a normal day. " So, tell me what's going in between you and my brother, and don't give me any lies, I've noticed the way he looks at you"

" It is none of your business what goes on between me and your brother"

" Are you forgetting that you will be my wife soon" Baela's expression distorted into one of disgust at his words, Aegon almost laughed. " Even though none of us are pleased with this arrangement but it is reality. Would you keep having an affair with my brother after marriage?"

" It's not an affair"

" It is since you are too afraid of making it public. I fear for Aemond as well, don't want my brother's head to be a victim to Dark Sister"

" You talk too much" She might stab him with those scissors if he didn't shut up, Aegon suspected this with the way his cousin was clutching onto the weapon. Baela was almost done, she wouldn't just leave Aegon with his hair, but she couldn't  even if she wished to, she had made a promise to Haelena

Aegon places a hand on her waist, pulling her a bit closer to him, it was an uncomfortable angle but he was more focused on the warmth of her body to notice. " It's such a shame my brother got to have you before I did, you are extremely beautiful" He places a soft kiss on her neck, working his tongue to taste her. This was the breaking point for Baela, she elbowed him right across his shoulder blade, her father had said it was the most painful spot to strike at.

Aegon collapsed on the ground once more in pain. He watched as Baela hovered over him watching him intently. She sighed to herself and pushed herself to her feet " It looks good enough. Hopefully, I wouldn't have to do this again." She tossed the scissors away and went on her way, Baela doesn't notice the slight smirk on Aegon's face as he watched her leave

This cousin of his was a lot more interesting than he had thought. He barely had any fond memories of her apart from the one from his childhood, he used to think that her sister was a lot better. Aegon was a man who was attracted to modest women, women who behaved like a woman should, who knew how to seduce and satisfy a man in bed, he learned quite early that Baels wasn't that type of woman, so he lost interest.

But perhaps all is not lost, after all, she's the one he goes to when there is no one else. She understood him because she was just like him. A tool, just a tool in the hands of her father just like he was to his mother and grandfather.

Baela remained in her chambers until it was well past midnight. There was a storm once more, the gods were on her side after all. There was nothing of interest in King's Landing, not when there was a whole new world out there for her to explore.
