Chapter 4: Pilgrim world

I woke up the next morning to Ajax waking me up.

"Ajax, what do you want?"i ask annoyed.
"Uhm you have a visitor." he said moving out off the way revealing Wednesday.
"Wednesday what are you doing here?" i asked confused.
"I told you yesterday." she said annoyed.
"I know about that but why are you here in my dorm?" i asked

"To make sure you get ready on time." she said walking to the window.
"You know the dorm is built with a door right?" i asked pointing at the door.

"I know but this is more fun and if slip death can come get me so it's a win win." she said climbing through the window.
"This woman.." i said face palming.
"Got something to confess?" Ajax asked with a smirk.
"No? Why would i?" i asked confused.
"What about this 'thing' you and Wednesday were talking about." he said in a teasing tone.
"That is because it is about the investigation." i said looking at him with an angry face.
"Sure, like you don't want it to be a date." he said as he walked out the dorm.
I rolled my eyes and walked into the bathroom.
After i was done and looked at my phone seeing it was 8:30 am so i still had 30 minutes.

But i decided to put on my shoes and head out anyway because otherwise Wednesday would start complaining again.

'Not that i mind that though she looks cute when she's mad'

So i put on my shoes and headed down to the quad.
"What took you so long?" i heard a familiar voice call out.
I turn around to find Wednesday standing there.
"I don't like to rush my shower." i said smiling.

Just before she was going to say anything she was cut off by Weems explaining the day.

"You will all report for you volunteer jobs at 10 am sharp, followed with a community dinner at 1." she said as she motioned to the teachers with the envelopes.

"You will all receive an envelope with the volunteer job you have to complete today." she said with a smile as the the teachers were handing out envelopes.
As i received mine i opened it to find i got Pilgrim world.
I wanted to be angry but remembered i was going with Wednesday and that made it better.
Wanting to know if she got it or if she would have to trade i walk over to Wednesday who was standing besides Enid.
"I got Pilgrim world, what did you get?" i ask her looking at Wednesday.
"I g-" Enid started to speak before i held my hand over her mouth to stop her from talking.
She gave me an angry look but i just smiled at her before looking back at Wednesday.
"I got Uriah's heap whatever that is." she said as she looked up from her card at me.
"Enid what did you get?" i ask as i remove my hand from her mouth.

"I got Pilgrim world." she said still looking mad at me.
"Trade." Wednesday demanded.
'Yes mommy WAIT WHAT NO STOP IT'

"Why should i trade with you? I don't want to work at that creepy store." Enid said looking disgusted as she mentioned uriah's heap.

"I heard Ajax is volunteering there." i spoke up looking at Enid.
Enid looked at me not seeming convinced.

"What want me to call him over?" i ask.
"Do it." she said with a smirk.
"Ok." i said as i waved my hand over to Ajax.

He noticed and walked over to us.

"Hey Y/n, how can i help you?" he asked

"I wanted to know what assignment you got." i said looking serious.
"I got uriah's heap. I'm looking forward to it do any off you have the same?" he asked as he looked around the circle we were standing in.
I gave Enid a glance before she spoke up.
"Yes i do!" she said with a smile.
"Awesome i'll see you then!" Ajax said with a smile as he walked off.
"See." i said with an 'I told you' grin.
"Fine but i won't do this again." she said grabbing Wednesday's envelope and giving hers to Wednesday.
After that principle Weems called us and told us we needed to get on the bus.
I was about to sit down next to Xavier but Wednesday pulled me down to sit next to her.
