Chapter 8: Surprise

The next morning woke up early again, and this time Ajax did aswel.
The reason being it is Wednesday's birtday today and we wanted to prepare something special.
So both me and Ajax got dressed and headed to the nightshades library to prepare.
And even though i'm not a nightshade i knew about it so i didn't really matter and nobody else really knows so we'll have privacy.

As me and Ajax got there the rest off the nightshades were already there and waiting wel except Bianca.

We stayed there talking about what to do.

I wanted to do something something for special for here even though we had only been dating for a few days.

We kept thinking but all the ideas we had were great for a 'normal' people but, for Wednesday it's different..

We kept thinking and thinking but nothing came to mind..

So decided to wait and see what she normally does and go off that.
So we all leave the nightshades library and head back to our dorms.
Me and Ajax just chilled and talked till we had our lessons.

So put our shoes back on and headed to the quad.
Once i got there i saw Wednesday sitting down with Enid and Xavier.
I walk over with a smile.
"How's the birtday girl doing?" i ask with a smirk as i sit down next to Wednesday.

"Y/n please talk some sense into Enid, she had been complaining about something to do for 20 minutes." Wednesday said ignoring my previous comment.
"Enid let Wednesday be i think you have tortured her enough for the day."  i say with a smile knowing Enid wasn't going to listen.
We all decided to leave the whole birthday thing for a while and just talk.
We were talking..Well mostly Xavier and Enid, me and Wednesday just sat there.
After another 10 minutes Wednesday sat closer to me nuzling her head in my chest.
"I know i said i like torture but this is a bit much even for me.." she said looking up at me.
"I know.." i said with a smile.
"Don't worry lessons start in 5 minutes then they will have to leave." i added.
Wednesday just nodded and cuddles closer.
And like i predicted after 5 minutes both Enid and Xavier get up to leave for class.
After they were far enough away Wednesday looked up at me with a smirk.

"What?" i asked confused.
"I as thinking maybe you could come with me to the old gates mansion.. You know as a birthday present." she said and i had never seen this much emotion in her eyes and there was no way i could say no to that so i agreed.
"So when do you want to go?" i ask looking down at her.

"How about we skip class and go now." she asked/ demanded.
I agreed and we went back to our dorms to change into something more comfortable.
I took a knife with me just to be sure if something went wrong.
And after that headed to the gates off Nevermore.
Once i got there Wednesday was already waiting for me.
"How come you're always earlier then me?" i ask confused.
"If you keep this up maybe you'll find out." she said with a smirk before grabbing my hand and we headed to the Gates mansion.
As we were walking Wednesday asked me something.
"It is unlikely that Enid and her friends don't have anything planned for my birthday, do you know what they are planning?" she asks.
'Should i tell her about the secret meeting we had this morning?'

'Yes, she deserves to know we care about her.'

"Yes i do... We kinda held a secret meeting this morning to discuss what to do for your birthday." i said looking down at her.
"So when is the surprise?" she asks looking up at me

"Well thats the problem i wanted to make it special for you but all the ideas the others had you wouldn't like." i said.
"Thank you for sparing me the torture then." she said.

"Ofcourse see our little outing to the Gates mansion as your birthday surprise." i said with a smile.
"This was my idea." she said looking up at me with a teasing smirk.
