The next morning came around as Mordecai and Rigby got up from their beds before heading downstairs for some breakfast.

"So, what time does the reunion start?" Rigby asked, stretching his arms out slowly.

"It'll be around 2:00pm. Why?" Mordecai replied while grabbing some bowls from the cabinet and a carton of milk in the fridge.

"Good, because I don't feel like getting up too early in the morning. A guy's gotta have their beauty sleep, you know." Rigby emphasized before grabbing ahold of their favorite fruit loops cereal.

"Pfft. Like you would ever get up on time. I'm always having to wake you up for breakfast. It's a wonder if you ever step out on your own for school." Mordecai said in a light chuckle.

"Oh ha ha." Rigby replied sarcastically with his eyes rolled as they both sat down on the small kitchen table and ate cereal with small talk in between.

Once it was time to go to the reunion, Mordecai took his car and drive them up there, where the two were then immediately greeted by Mordecai's mom, Hilary, who has never been more happy than to see her only son back home again.

"Mordy! My baby boy! I'm so glad that you could come." Hilary shouted out before giving her son a big squeezing hug.

"Mom, stop calling me that. I'm not 5 anymore." Mordecai mumbled out in embarrassment.

"Oh stop it. I'm your mother. I can call you whatever I want." Hilary pouted before letting him go.

"Yeah 'Mordy' be cool. She's your mom." Rigby teased while nudged Mordecai with his elbow.

"I'm gonna get you." Mordecai grumbled at him with a glare.

"Oh, really? I'd like to see you try." Rigby challenged him, playfully.

"Now boys, you both better behave for the rest of the guests. We can't have a rowdy house, you know." Hilary warned but in a sweetened mom tone, that tells others she's simply too soft to be stern.

"Yes ma'am." Mordecai and Rigby both said at the same time, as if they were kids all over again during one of their many hangouts at the house.

"Alright then. Oh and Rigby, it was wonderful to see you here again as well. I hope you had an awesome birthday." Hilary said with a welcoming smile.

"Thanks. Miss Hilary, I did." Rigby said, politely.

"That's good. Okay, I'll let you two have fun now. Enjoy the party. There's snacks and drinks in the kitchen if you need anything." Hilary said before waving bye at the two and joined with her husband in a group of people, chatting away their days.

"Ha 'Mordy'." Rigby teases again, just to simply pester him for the moment.

"Shut up." Mordecai grumbled before punching him on the arm, but not as hard as he used to when they were younger.

"Ouch. Whatever man. I'm gonna grab me a beer. Want me to get you one?" Rigby asked with a shrug, seeing how boring the party was getting to be.

"Sure." Mordecai mumbled as he watched Rigby walk over towards the kitchen area before a secret small smile has slowly spread across his face.

Somehow, he just couldn't stay mad at him for too long.

As he shook his head a little and took a look around the house to help pass the time while he waited.

Before turning his head to a sharp right and dropped his expression all at once.

Was he seeing things....
