I groaned and turned towards my nightstand. I picked up my phone and saw Lucas' name on it. "What", I grumbled on the phone in my sleepy voice. "Why the fuck aren't you ready? We planned to go to the arcade with the guys". "Oh fuck, shit. I'm sorry, Luke. Just give me an hour and I'll meet you by your place", I said and ended the call. I pulled the duvet and got up but sat on the bed again due to my iron deficiency. I huffed in frustration and hurried to the washroom.
After the shower, I changed into my outfit, took my apartment keys and dashed out. I did not take my car and walked to his place as we decided to go in Lucas' car.

While walking to his house, I finally allowed myself to think about Aaron and what happened yesterday. There are several unread messages and missed calls from Aaron but I'm not ready to talk to him about it. I can't even make any excuse of me being drunk or something else. I was completely in my senses and I still kissed him. fuckkkkkkk
I don't regret the kiss because it wasn't that great. It is quite opposite actually. Kissing Aaron made everything else cease to exist. I was not ready for having feelings or being vulnerable again anytime soon. I never thought rationally whenever he was included. There is a lot of things to think about regarding Aaron. Lucas hates him and when he gets to know about any of this, he's gonna be very upset. I don't want that.Nothing can happen between us anymore. I am completely going to ignore him, I don't care.
I finally reached Lucas' house and went inside. I saw Katherine near the kitchen and went to greet her. "Hey, Katherine", she replied, "Hey Hailey" and she hugged me. After that she asked, "How are you? Everything good? It seems like I haven't talked to you in ages". This made me feel very guilty and I quickly apologized," I am really sorry. I was a bit busy with the tutoring and finding another job, I couldn't come that often".
"Why are you searching for any other job? Come work part-time at my cafe", I started to refuse her but she interrupted me and said, "No Hailey, don't try to make any excuses. I anyways was going to hire someone for the cafe and it's great that you could work for me. I wouldn't be able to trust anyone who comes to work that easily".
"Thank you, Katherine", she smiled in response and asked, "Do you want coffee?" "No, thanks. Me and Luke are going to check out the new book cafe so we'll have something over there and by the way where is Luke?" "Oh, he's upstairs taking a shower", she replied.
I huffed in annoyance and muttered, "Fucking bitch made me rush and now himself is late. I'll kill him". I looked up and gave Katherine an apologetic smile for cursing. She chuckled and shook her head. "You guys have fun. I'm going to the grocery store to get a few items". I smiled and nodded in response.
When she left, Lucas came down the stairs, drying his hair with a towel and started speaking, "Did Hai-" and then saw me. I gave him my sweetest smile and said, "You're gonna die today". ________________________________________________
