You taught me silence is key,
better than letting anyone see beyond what I am made out to be.

My teachers of heartbreak and sorrow.
Finding myself only to get lost tomorrow.

Loving those who are hated
and hating the ones who could be fated.

I'm always searching for the love within the damned and taking on their weight,
not seeing red lights until it's too late,
until I myself break.

Because you taught me that life is only for those who take it all,
not for the ones who trust and fall.

You have never given me the love I needed,
even when I pleaded you only had eyes for your own heart,
taking mine apart.

You used to be so much more in my mind, now I feel more secure from passing strangers who I leave behind.

Because of you I am constantly on the pursuit of happiness.

Finding myself today only to get lost tomorrow.
