How complex one's mind can be,
there's nowhere you could read,
'bout unknown land,
where no man has stand.

No right time,
yet no wrong turn.
How shall I learn,
when fire always burns?

How much does one know,
about oneselve's soul?
Is it my destiny,
to never really feel,
never really know,
how it feels to have real chemistry?

Some tell you from the start:
they're unworthy of your heart.
true to word they were,
anyway you fell,
slowly letting in,
your own personal sin.

They thrive on your pain,
all defying attempts in vain,
tightening the leash,
the surface too hard to reach.
Telling yourself you're in control,
while really you've lost your true goal.

Recovering seems easy:
talking, thinking bout aspirations,
hoping for a kind of cessation,
All seems well,
for I'm no longer under your spell.
All feelings have been put on hold,
yet some wounds cut deeper than what you controlled.
What I'll never forget are decisions I've made,
cutting me deeper than a fresh ground blade.

Who I wanna be,
is what keeps me free.
How soon it could have ended,
if I never had pretended,
but would I be nowhere near as wise,
life ain't always bout playing nice,
for there would be no happy endings,
if there were only soft landings.
