Blurry eyes,
heavy smiles,
that's how I feel.Laughing loud,
happy sound,
that's what you see.Why can't you see, how I feel?
Am I not lout enough?Look in the mirror,
you like what you see?
Is it who you wanna be?Hear screams through laughs,
see scars on made-up faces,
feel crinkles in perfect clothes. It might seem I'm alright,
it might seem I'm okay,
when all I ever wanted,
was someone who'll see the pain. The pain of pretending.
Pretending of feeling nothing.
Pretending of not seeing something,
Something worth more than a game.Aren't we the same?
Am I not a woman?
Are you not a man?Is love a game?
Is it win or lose?
Have I already lost?
What if my heart's just too great of a cost?Look in the mirror,
what do you see?
Is it me,
or is it you?Eyes like mirrors,
two lost souls,
two souls pretending.Look in the mirror
and you'll see me clearer.©️ TrueTrizz
