VII. Alluring Effect

Regina's POV

"You should have seen the look on her face, Ali." I chuckled and took a sip of my wine. I already told him that last night, pero wala lang, I still regret not bringing him with me to the coffee shop. He should have witnessed it. 

"Eh bakit mo nga ba sinabi 'yun sa kanila?"

"To play around. Isn't that fun?" I walked around the room smiling, her face flashing in my memory. I kinda regret I didn't prolong my conversation with them. Bet it could've been better.

I turned to Ali and raised my brow at him.

"I guess that's what I learned about being a lawyer. You need to know how people's minds work. Humans, in general, are either curious or scared about those; virginity, sex, death, money... and if they see you as someone who knows better than them on those things, they crave for you."

"At ganu'n ang gusto mo maging trato sa'yo ng Martean?" 

I cleared my throat as I went back to my seat finishing the last drop of wine in my glass.

"Tell Richard or Andre to come over. May ipagagawa ako." 

Yes, I need them to get the Martean for me. Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit pinatatagal ko pa. I should've enjoyed the last two months having her with me instead of just watching from a distance.

"Mukhang hindi na kailangan." I frowned and turned to Ali once again.

He then walked beside me and accessed my laptop. It caught me by surprise when he flashed me the CCTV details, the one on the HR specifically, revealing the Martean's face to me. 

"Ano'ng ginagawa niya rito?"

"Kanina ko pa sana gustong sabihin sa'yo. Hindi ko rin alam kung ano ang ginagawa niya rito pero siguro sadyang tama ang teorya mo sa mga tao. 'Wag ka mag-alala. Nasabihan ko na sila sa gagawin sa kanya. Unless gusto mong ipagpaliban na naman muna?"

I shook my head. 

"It's fine. I'm ready for her."

I've been waiting for this day to happen. I guess I was too damn slow at siya na mismo ang lumapit sa akin. This should be fun.

I composed myself for she is expected to come to my office in a short while.

I breathed in gently the moment her scent lured in. I looked at the door and heard three knocks to which Ali opened at my signal. A smile instantly formed my face as she let herself in.

It's been a while since that encounter and I just love the way she's making me feel at this moment. I just hope I could last.

"Good afternoon po ma'am." She greeted me. "Narda Custodio po." I noticed Ali leaving the two of us alone.

"Uhm. Have a seat." I pointed at the sofa as I pretended to be busy with my laptop. "May kailangan lang ako na tapusin."

I breathed again taking in her scent as I play with my fingers tapping them on my desk. My eyes are on my laptop screen but my other senses are all with her. I can hear her irregular breathing, her heart beating so fast and the sound of those is soothing to my ears. 

I bit my lip as I took a glimpse of her; she's staring blankly at the table in front, playing with her fingers, drowned by her thoughts.

Breathe in. Breathe out.
