The next morning, to say the least, was rough for jane. maybe rougher than what it should've been considering jane didn't roll out of her bed until 12:30 PM.

though she had slept for so long, jane still felt exhausted when she woke up. gaps of sunlight painted jane's face as it seeped through the cracks of her blinds. as much as she wanted to lay in bed and rot away, she found a way to push herself out of bed.

her attention fell straight to her desk and the unfamiliar note that laid on it. jane stumbled over, picked up the note, and unfolded it.

Dear Jane
I don't know when you'll see this. I Hope you see it before I see you. Anyways, I don't know if you remember the party or anything but you seemed really fucked up. I think you might've taken something. Whatever happened, I hope it all got solved so you don't feel shitty in the morning. If you got poisoned, that would suck.
But I also wanted to mention. I'm sorry for being an asshole Before the party. Sometimes Im just stupid and I know that itself is stupid. You talk about wanting friends and stuff, So I am glad you're making more friends. You deserve a ton of friends. You're really cool, And I'm excited for people at school to see that. Maybe we aren't friends But we are Jane and Kurt and I hope we stay Jane and Kurt for as long as the universe sees fit, or for as long as you want. I hope that made sense

See ya,
Kurt

jane smiled at the letter. the messy writing, random capitalization, the way she could practically hear kurt saying every word in the letter, it made her happy. she found kurt's letter to be stupidly poetic.

she folded it back up and opened her drawer, quickly placing the note in there and then closing it.

jane shortly exited her room and found herself in the kitchen. the house was completely silent, almost no sign of krist.

"krist?" jane shouted, no answer.

jane let out a sigh of relief. after last night, she felt like she needed a day to herself.

she rushed back upstairs to get herself ready. she brushed her hair and teeth before changing into a new outfit. she thought about all the things she could do today and how she would enjoy herself. yet, only one thing sparked her interest.

jane grabbed a small backpack and threw her journal and a few pens in there before slinging it over her shoulder. she was gonna go to the bridge and hangout there for the day.

it was the perfect plan for her. krist was gone, presumably band practice, and kurt wouldn't be at the bridge if she was right about band practice.

she ran down the stairs and stood at the front door. she took a deep breath in, ready to take on the day, as she swung the door open.
