By the time krist and jane had gotten there, the party seem to have already started. bright colored lights shined out the windows of the house and people were scattered around.

"shit," krist swore under his breath, "are we fucking late? there's no way."

krist parked before immediately jumping out of his car, rushing inside as jane followed.

the two walked in, greeted by a crowd of people who were all mostly based in the living room. krist tried to look over the crowd, but, no luck.
he turned to jane, "i've gotta go find dave and kurt, are you okay on your own?" krist asked. jane was startled by the carefulness in his voice, but she assured him that she'd be alright.

krist disappeared into the crowd and, once again, jane was left alone. but, she didn't stay like that for long due to a familiar voice that stood out against the rest.

"jane!" the voice made her stomach churn. with a sigh, she turned around, looking throughout the crowd of people for whoever called her.

almost immediately, she found gary pushing his way through people to make it to jane. he stood right in front of her with a wide smile on his face.

"hey!" he grinned. he looked her up and down, taking in her appearance.

"you look good." he stated. jane flashed a fake smile, "thanks, you too."

"i heard that your beloved 'fecal matter' was late." gary said. jane wanted to roll her eyes and walk off, but, she stayed composed.

"more like krist and i were late." she corrected, "guess he fucked up the time. i'm not sure."

then, before gary could continue the conversation, the loud beat of a drum turned all heads. as if they were summoned, everyone took notice of fecal matter beginning their performance.

jane and gary observed the giant crowd. their adrenaline was contagious. the two shoved their way to the front, attempting to get a good look of the band.

they managed to make it to the second row of the crowd. jane found kurt right away, who stood in the front, holding an electric guitar that was plugged into an amp.

he played a few chords, the small crowd practically sitting on pins and needles. he then began to play a familiar riff, causing some people in the crowd to cheer. the mic squealed slightly before kurt brought his lips close to it, just seconds away from singing.

would you believe me when i tell you
you're the queen of my heart?

jane was familiar with the song love buzz by shocking blue. kurt put a spin on the song, switching the lyrics a tad bit and changing the pace. nonetheless, jane was hypnotized by his voice, watching every movement of his in awe.

please don't deceive me when i hurt you,
just ain't the way it seems.

jane was tossed around by the many people who jumped and shoved themself around, but she couldn't care any less. she couldn't help by smile widely as kurt poured his soul out into his words.
