Where's the Left Arm?

Banshee gently set Eren down atop Wall Rose, Mikasa offering herself to rest his head against. Armin fell next to his friend and grabbed his left hand where the sleeve had been torn away, bringing it up to eye-level with tears streaming down his face and he croaked out a weak, "...happened... to you...?"

"What's so interesting about that one," Watcher asked as he knelt down to examine the unconscious boy.

Armin coughed and wiped his face to regain his composure before answering. "His leg... his arm... titans... I watched titans take both of them before he..." the boy lost it again. Levi had already sent away the other Cadets and Watcher urged them to keep quiet for the time being.

"Banshee, Watcher," the Captain addressed them. "What do you know about this Cadet?"

Watcher leaned back, no doubt fighting through fatigue just to remember information. "Let's see. Cadet Eren Yaeger... refugee from Shinganshina district. Mother is deceased and father has been missing since the attack, also presumed dead. Cadets Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman are the closest he has left to living kin. Am I forgetting anything, Banshee?"

"He can be a bit of an impulsive hothead, but he graduated amongst the top ten," Banshee added. "Chess would be able to tell you more about him than we can. He knows the kid better."

"So he hasn't shown any signs of being capable of whatever happened down there?" Levi questioned further.

"Yaeger is the last person I would have ever expected to be able to turn into a Titan," Watcher silently pointed out the strange lines below Eren's eyes that were slowly beginning to fade away. "You'd be hard-pressed to find a Cadet in the 104th that hates Titans more than this kid. A bit ironic now, all things considered."

"But how is such a thing possible?" Petra finally asked the question on everyone's minds. The sound of dragging boots alerted them to Boost hobbling his way over.

"About time you and your special club arrived," he jested and fell into a one-armed hug with Banshee. He pledged to Captain Levi and started to say, "I was beginning to wonder-" when he caught sight of the Cadets. "Is that... Yaeger? Did that abnormal kill the Titan that ate him before it went down?" Watcher's patrol partner knelt down next to him before recoiling. "He's alive?! But Carolina said he was eaten hours ago! How-?"

"Soldiers!" someone else called from behind them. Members of the Garrison purposefully approached their position but paused upon catching sight of who they were actually speaking to. "Captain Levi," he heard one of them say.

"Troopers..." another acknowledged them with thinly veiled disdain. The Scout's Captain moved to meet them along with his squad.

"What is it?" he asked in his typical cold, but cordial, fashion.

The soldier in the center quickly pledged and said, "Captain Levi, we need you to hand over that Cadet." He turned back to the trio of friends and noticed Mikasa transfer a hand from Eren's head to one of her blades.

"Which one?" Banshee hid his aggression about as well as the Garrison behind a coy question.

"He's unconscious right now, can it wait?" Levi stated the obvious, but the soldiers in front of them shook their heads, a subtle fear in their movements.

"He needs to come with us at once," they sternly stated. "Hand him over and do not discuss this with matter with anyone. The Garrison will take care of things from here."

"Eren isn't going anywhere with you until you tell us why," Mikasa growled.

"Ackerman," Watcher raised his voice at her, but still seemed to agree. "The kid's still out cold, boys. Least you can do is tell us what this is about before we try and move him again."
