From a faraway land
Trots The Tiny Horse
Who pulls his cart full of wares
To help keep things on course.
He came upon a great kingdom
Filled with bunnies galore
But they did not look healthy,
Tummies too large and sore.
He sought out their king
To discover their plight,
And he found the king bunny
His pants far too tight.
(The Tubby Bunny King speaks)
I must admit,
as I sit in this seat,
that we have very often
eaten too many treats.
Heavy lies this crown,
and my stress often soars.
And I find myself munching
on cupcakes and s'mores.
And this is the reason,
because all of that,
we have all become
unhealthily fat.
(The Tiny Horse spoke)
It is my calling
to help those in need.
For I am The Tiny Horse
The helpful Tiny Steed.
Cupcakes are yummy
But best rarely to eat,
being so full of sugar
and lots of bleached wheat.
Chocolate, gummies,
and ice cream are yummy,
But eat them too often
You'll have a large and sour tummy.
(The Tiny Horse opens his cart)
There were carrots and meats,
Small eggs of quail
Fish steak and spinach
And fruits marked "On sale!"
The Tiny Horse used his goods,
taught the bunnies to cook;
Broccoli soup, mashed potatoes,
Roast salmon chinook.
(The Tubby Bunny King licks his lips and rubs his tummy)
Before you start eating,
Oh king of great station,
I must teach you about
the way of "moderation."
All of this food
Delicious be it
Is best eaten slowly,
A spoonful, bit by bit.
And so all of the bunnies
Ate their fill and no more,
They all felt much better,
Not a tummy was sore.
We do prefer carrots,
potatoes and kale,
fresh herbs and pumpkin,
and fruit that's on sale.
(The Tiny Horse brings out a cupcake and slices a small piece for all the bunnies)
Every so often
You should have a treat
A rare and small portion
Is okay to eat.
We thank you kind horse
For helping our nation,
And our word for this year
Shall be "moderation!"
And to the next kingdom
Traveled the Tiny Horse
Pulling his cart full of wares
To help keep things on course.
