I love the name Nevaeh.
POV Keefe
I'm kinda used to the pain, now. It took some getting used to but I know how too zone out too avoid it.
"Are you ready for today." Fitz says, grinning.
"So.... am I ready for the same thing as yesterday? Ready as I'll ever be."
"You insolent child! You will not speak to my son like that!" Aldes snarls.
CRACK! SNAP! CRACK! SNAP!
The whip bites into my flesh again and again.
"I'll talk to that fucked up rat you call a child anyway I like." I hiss back, spitting a glob of blood onto the hem of his white and gold tunic.
Blood trickles down my face from the cut above my eyebrow.
Alden draws a shamkniv (idk if I spelled it right) from inside his pocket.
"You say that one more time and I'll doodle all over that pretty little face of yours." Alden threatens.
"Awwwww Alden thinks I'm pretty. And I'd rather not have some of your awful art on my face so I'll say something else." I draw in a shaky breath. The whipping has at least fractured one of my ribs. "I'll talk to this teal-eyed dick-wad with his little old man to protect him. Unless you're too afraid to talk to a tied up Empath alone." I say, my tone is dripping with mockery.
"Father go home and clean that tunic before the blood stain sets." Fitz says.
"Fine." Alden is such a grump.
POV Sokeefe Sencen/Sofay Fostar
"Come on love. We're going on a date." Fitz calls up to me.
"Alright, fine. I'll be down in a minute." I call back.
I run to my closet and grab a white cropped hoodie and some shorts. Alden got me some human clothes yesterday. I was missing the Forbidden cities.... and Keefe.
(fostars outfit)
I slouch downstairs.
"Where are we going?" I sigh.
"To a beach in the Forbidden cities. Yes, I have permission from the council." He flashes the fake white smile that used to give me butterflies. Key word. USED.
"Alright." I give the most forced smile I have ever given to anyone and trudge over the beam of light from the cobalt blue crystal.
The feathers drift away. I'm face to face with a dark beach. No-one's here.
"We're going swimming." Fitz chirps. He's way too happy about this.
"I didn't bring a swim-suit." I protest.
He grins. I hate it when he grins. "Neither did I."
"WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! I'M NOT GOING SKINNY DIPPING YOU PERV!!!!!!" I screech, finally catching his meaning.
"Shhhhh. Keep your voice down, Love. Besides it's dark and I won't be able to see anything good." He attempts to soothe me.
"Ha! Nice try! Don't think I forgot Exilium. We were trained to see in the dark. Hell. No." I spit
"Fine. We'll go to a restaurant." He growls.
"That's fucking fine with me." I snarl.
He holds up that wretched blue crystal and the light guides me to a little place in what looks like California. It's a cute place but Fitz's ugly face has already ruined my mood.
"How many?" The waiter asks, only after giving me a once-over.
"2. Isn't that right, babe." Fitz says glaring at the poor guy.
"Yep. Only 2." I agree painfully.
"Right this way." The waiter takes us to a small table by the restroom.
"I'll be right back." Fitz says. Standing up and walking to the bathroom.
"Can I get you anything to drink?" The waiter asks.
"Do you have an Angel-Shot?" I ask.
Hey guys! his was way too long in coming but here it is. I had some writers block and when it unplugged I was writing until 2am. I hope you like this chapter. LIA out.
