"Y/N...Y/N?" Aika called out to you, bringing you out of your daze.

"Sorry...was thinking about something. What were you saying?" You smiled at your best friend.

"Nothing much, just wondering if you'd like to join us for dinner?" Aika offered for you to join the Robredos for dinner.

"Come on, Y/N! It's been a while since we've had dinner together." VP Leni was on board with the plan as well.

"Of course, Ma'am. I'll never miss a meal with you!" You linked hands with the older woman, who treated you like her child.

"Thanks for making it today, I know you've been busy with work." You sat next to Aika in the car as she thanked you for making it to the rally today.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be here for the other rallies, work was being an ass..." You felt sorry for not being able to support Aika in the first two months of the campaign.

"All's good. I'm just glad to have my bestie back again." Aika grinned.

"I missed your nagging too, bestie." You teased, earning you a punch from Aika.

"Woah, woah, Ms Muscles. No wonder all the supporters have been asking for headlocks." You punched Aika's biceps back.

"Sometimes I wonder if you're my friend or enemy..." Aika rolled her eyes.

"How's work been? I've heard from Aika that you just fly back from Malaysia?" VP Leni asked how you were doing recently.

"I'm doing great, tita. The higher-ups are considering a promotion as soon as I complete this project." You appreciated VP Leni's concern.

"Right, I have something for all of you from Malaysia. Some souvenirs..." You turned to Aika.

"I can drop by to get them and take the chance to see tita and tito as well." Aika suggested.

"Sounds great to me. Mama and Papa would be thrilled to see you." You knew your parents liked Aika as much as you did.

"See you tomorrow, Aiks. Bye, Y/N!" The Robredos dropped you and Aika off at your house.

"Aika!" Your parents rushed towards your best friend the second you guys entered the house, ignoring your existence.

"Hello but your anak is me, not Aiks." You stared at your parents and scoffed.

"I thought we already established that we like Aika more than you, anak." Your parents weren't shy about how much they loved Aika. Not that you minded anyways.

"Reminds me of the times I used to stay over during our college days." Aika walked into your room naturally.

"Yeah and occupied my room like it was yours." You scoffed.

"Well, your house was way closer to ADMU than mine...and your parents were so sweet, how could I say no?" Aika defended herself.

"You can take my clothes tonight." You picked out a set of pajamas and threw it to Aika.

"Feels like we've gone back to being 22." Aika laughed as she headed into your bathroom.

"So, how's the love life going?" You and Aika were getting ready for bed.

"Flat. Don't ask questions you already know." Aika scowled.

"Trish was telling me about that guy from the office. What was his name?" You turned to Aika, who was on an air mattress. You'd bought it years ago for times like this when she stayed over.
