"Harper! Huwag tumakbo na..." The nurse chased the 6 year-old boy down the hospital hallways.
"Ayaw ko ng injections na!" Harper continued running until he reached his destination. The boy tip toed and pushed open the door, ignoring the nurse's desperate call.
"Harper?" Tricia was surprised to see her little patient running into the duty room.
"Tricia! Nurse Mary is chasing me again!" Harper hid behind Tricia and gripped onto her scrubs as Nurse Mary opened the door, huffing and puffing.
"Dr Tricia, did Harper come in here?" Nurse Mary scanned the duty room, spotting the little boy peeking out behind Tricia.
"I don't want injections...It hurts..." Harper used Tricia as his shield.
"Hey sweetie, alam ko masakit pero it's good for you..." Tricia knelt down and caressed Harper's cheeks.
"I want Tricia to do it for me then...but when Parker comes." Harper pouted.
"And when will that be?" Tricia chuckled.
"Parker said he was coming after work!" Harper grinned.
"I'll come visit you later but for now, you be a good boy and follow Nurse Mary back to your bed? I heard today's afternoon snack was cheesecake, right Nurse Mary?" Tricia winked at Nurse Mary.
"It's your favourite cheesecake, Harper!" Nurse Mary played along.
"Cheseecake? Let's go, Nurse Mary! Bye Tricia!" Harper's eyes lit up and he immediately held Nurse Mary's hand, pulling her along. Tricia watched as the little boy disappeared into the hallways.

"I WANT TRICIA! I WANT TRICIA NOW!" Tricia could heard Harper screaming and crying in his ward.
"Dr Tricia's coming soon, Harper..." Nurse Mary was trying to calm the crying boy.
"Why is my brave little boy crying?" Tricia popped her head into the ward.
"Tricia..." Harper immediately stopped whining.
"Thank goodness you're here, Dr Tricia." Nurse Mary sighed in relief.
"I can take over from here...thank you." Tricia bowed as Nurse Mary left.
"You're late, Tricia. You said you'd be here at 6pm. It's 6.10pm." Harper crossed his arms and pouted.
"Sorry, I had something urgent to attend to..." Tricia was held up by another patient.
"Parker is late too..." Harper's expression turned dark.
"I'm sorry about that but I really need to give you your afternoon injection or you'll have to take your next one at midnight..." Tricia couldn't delay it any further.
"Sorry I'm late..." Harper and Tricia turned at the sound of Parker's voice.
"Parker!" Harper brightened up to see him.
"Hey buddy, am I in time?" Parker put his backpack down.
"Uh huh! Tricia was going to give me my injection!" Harper nodded.
"Dr Tricia. How many times have I reminded you to call her Dr Tricia." Parker furrowed his eyebrows.
"But Tricia said it was okay..." Harper turned to Tricia for back up but she just shrugged.
"3, 2, 1...all done. Well done, big boy!" Tricia inserted the needle, pushed and pulled it out in a swift motion.
"Ouch..." Harper gave a belated reaction.
