PRESENTS WERE EXCHANGED HERE AND THERE IN EVERY corner of fukurodani high. since most of the students wouldn't be able to see each other during christmas, they went with giving each other such unique and beautiful holiday gifts before their vacation starts. speaking of gifts, bokuto was one lucky guy who received tons of presents from girls, hearing all of those compliments boosted his energy and confidence, and he's never been happier.

and, speaking of happiness, there was a certain setter who was feeling almost the same amount of that feeling too, maybe more. and that was not only because of the gifts he received from his teammates and girls, but because of his sister for sure. everyone noticed that, they were pretty surprised to see a new side of akaashi, but they were happy for him.

however, bokuto was the only one who knew the secret behind akaashi's smile. he was a man of his words and promised his friend to not tell anyone about his sister. he sure had a big mouth, but akaashi put all of his trust in him, that's why he tried his very best to keep that secret safe between them. although, he's been counting days, waiting for akaashi's sister to come to japan.

it was their last class, the only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of the chalk tapping on the board along with the muffled sound of the rain pouring heavily. most of the students were getting sleepy, trying to understand what the english teacher was saying. however, bokuto's brain wasn't actually functioning. he was hungry, sleepy, cold and all he wanted to do was go home and sleep all weekend.

"alright class, don't forget that this part of the lesson is included in the upcoming exam, which is right after the holidays, please study well and merry christmas!"
the english teacher smiled from ear to ear as she gathered up her things and wiped her hands from the chalk.

seeing her putting her stuff inside her bag made the students realize that it was finally time, they all got up from their seats and bowed to the teacher as they wished her a merry christmas as well.

"alright, that's it for today, class dis—"

the teacher was interrupted when the bell rang loudly, announcing the end of the day. everyone cheered and left the classroom quickly, leaving the teacher behind.

"missed.."
the teacher continued, a sigh escaping her lips while adjusting her glasses.

"these kids.."
she mumbled before taking her bag and leaving the empty classroom.

"AGAASHEE!"
bokuto shouted loudly once his eyes landed on akaashi who was walking down the wet street. it wasn't raining like earlier, it was instead replaced with small cold droplets.
the ravenette stopped walking and turned around once he heard his name being called.

"bokuto-san, where's your umbrella?"
akaashi pointed at bokuto's slight wet hair for few seconds before shaking his head and grabbing his backpack. he unzipped it and took out another umbrella.

"i forgot it— oh! you have two umbrellas!"
bokuto chirped as he took the other umbrella from him and opened it.

"i brought an extra one in case you forgot yours, don't forget it next time, you'll get sick."
akaashi said with a slight hint of concern. last time when bokuto got sick, he went everyday after school to check on him. he even asked one of bokuto's classmates to give him notes.

"hey hey hey! thank you for existing akaashi! you're the best!"
the ace beamed as he patted his friend's back. akaashi just nodded his head and with that, the two made their way towards their houses.

"did she text you?"
the silverhead suddenly asked, which took akaashi by surprise. after few seconds, he nodded his head and his lips curled up into a faint smile.

"she will be here before we know it."
a soft sigh left akaashi's mouth as he watched the sky clearing and the moon slowly coming to sight. bokuto's eyes sparkled and eagerly nodded his head.

akaashi was grateful for having bokuto, he feels better after opening up to him, the feeling of pouring his heart out to someone really helped. bokuto wasn't that good with words, but he was with actions. though, akaashi didn't know how to return the favor, he thought that attending the party was the least he can do for bokuto. that's why he decided to go, and to do something more for him, he invited him to spend the night at his house.

bokuto was over the moon, he kept thanking akaashi for letting him stay. it was going to be his first time visiting akaashi's house. it sounded odd but the two barely had time with school and practice. that would be his first time going to akaashi's, and it would also be the perfect chance to talk about the party and discuss its plan.

"I'm home."
akaashi's soothing voice filled the silence of the house as he closed the door behind him after letting bokuto in.

"welcome home, keiji! kotaro-kun! welcome welcome!"
akaashi's mom smiled brightly as she waved at the boys. bokuto waved back excitedly as akaashi went to his mother and asked her if he can stay for the night. she happily agreed and went back to preparing dinner.

"dinner is almost ready, you boys can shower and change your clothes before you catch a cold. chop chop!"
she shouted from the kitchen, they quickly walked upstairs to where the bathroom, akaashi's room and the guest room were located.

"agaashee, you can go first!"
bokuto sat on akaashi's bed as he took off his jacket. the ravenette nodded before walking up to his closet, after finding a new pair of pajamas, he walked towards his door.

"don't go touching everything bokuto-san, i just cleaned my room."
akaashi eyed him from the corner of his eye before closing the door. pouting, bokuto huffed and got up as his eyes scanned the room.

it was indeed, super tidy. everything was in place, books, manga and what seemed like journals were on the shelves, his clothes were perfectly folded, the floor was shining, pens and other schools supplies were neatly placed on his desk along with his laptop and lamp. bokuto wished that his room was as clean as his. and now that he thinks about, if only he was as organized as akaashi.

as he was looking through his different manga collection, something caught his attention. it was a small picture frame. bokuto's lips parted slightly as he grabbed the frame and pulled if closer to him so he would take a better look at it. his eyes widened once they were met with the people who were in that picture. they looked almost alike, same hair color, same eyes, that person was definitely her.

it was a picture of akaashi and his sister, in kindergarten. they were smiling while eating ice cream. they looked so happy, like nothing bad could happen and take that happiness away from them. bokuto gulped as his fingers slowly touched the picture frame. he felt angry, how can someone be this heartless? how can he take his sister from him? and from her mother?

shaking his head, bokuto remembered that everything is going to change, that she's coming back to him after all of those years, and that their small family will reunite again. smiling softly, he carefully put the frame back on the shelf.

"i wonder if they have the same personality too.."
bokuto took one last glance at the picture before turning around and looking around the room.

"this room is too clean for me, I have the sudden urge to mess everything up now."
bokuto mumbled as he eyed the room again, shrugging his shoulders, he grabbed all of akaashi's mangas from the shelf and jumped on his bed.

"sorry not sorry agaashee!"
