THE BEAUTIFUL CRYSTAL SNOWFLAKES STARTED their journey to paint tokyo with shiny white, the view was breathtaking, but it was also cold. freezing to say the least, people struggled to wake up early in this weather to go to their jobs, or schools. but thankfully, winter break was around the corner, and they wouldn't have to worry about that anymore.
students were super excited and looking forward to spend christmas with their loved ones, then relax for the rest of the break. but no one can reach that maximum level of excitement and happiness as the one and only, bokuto kotaro.

bokuto was throwing a christmas party at his house and he invited everyone, even his friends from other schools. since his parents were on a business trip, he decided to plan something for christmas and he ended up telling everyone about the party he's having at his huge mansion. most of the students have accepted happily but some apologized cause they had other plans or they will be visiting their families.
but that didn't stop the party from being the talk of the school now, everyone was looking forward to it. especially the girls, because they couldn't wait to spend more time with the ace. despite his love for attention, he didn't really care, he just wanted to have a good time with his closest friends.

the volleyball team was cleaning the gym after they finished practicing while listening to bokuto talking about how awesome the party is gonna be, they couldn't help but smile at his reactions and at how he never runs out of energy. but they eventually got tired of hearing about the same topic repeatedly and told him to stop and focus on the upcoming game, but that didn't go well and it ended up with akaashi trying to cheer him up after he got into his emo mode.

it was getting pretty late, after cleaning the gym and putting back the cleaning supplies in the club room, everyone went separate ways. bokuto asked akaashi if he wanted to spend the night with him since it was a saturday tomorrow, but the raven head refused since he had other things to take care of.

"noo.."
the captain puffed up his cheeks and crossed his arms. he wanted so badly to hang out with akaashi and discuss the party plan, to see what would they need to buy like food, drinks and decorations. he wanted the ravenette's help since he pays attention to every detail, unlike him who easily forgets everything.

"maybe next time, bokuto-san."
akaashi softly responded with his eyes glued to the screen of his phone while his fingers slowly tapped on the keyboard.

"YEY! but make sure you come before the party!"
bokuto beamed as he patted his friend's back, earning a nod from him. but as they were walking, the silver head noticed how akaashi kept sending a text after another with his lips forming the tiniest smile.
he seemed to be in a good mood while texting someone on his phone. and bokuto being bokuto, he felt jealous that he might have other friends who make him smile. curiously, he tilted his head to the side, trying to peek but akaashi shut his phone and put it back inside his pocket. feeling defeated, he huffed and tried to ignore akaashi for the rest of the way.

"bokuto-san."

"YES AKAASHIII??"
with that, bokuto's mission to ignore akaashi has successfully failed.

"i think that i won't be able to come to your party."
akaashi said with a blank face, stuffing his hands in his pockets in order to warm them up since the weather was pretty cold.

"w-what? WHY BUT YOU PROMISED! WHY—"

"my sister is coming to japan."
the ravenette interrupted, facing the other side. he felt bad for not going to the party like he promised. he knew that he's gonna be sad but he had no other choice, he has lots of things to take care of. and on top of all of that, he wasn't exactly a party person, he was just going so bokuto wouldn't be sad.

bokuto's eyes widened, he was confused for a second, akaashi has a sister? he never told him about her. instead of feeling upset about the fact that akaashi won't be attending the party, he felt so thrilled. he was bouncing up and down like a child who was about to get candy.

"WAH I DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD A SISTER! WHAT'S HER NAME? HOW OLD IS SHE? DOES SHE KNOW ABOUT ME?"

bokuto kept asking non stop about akaashi's sister, but to his luck, the setter arrived at his house. his mother was already waiting for him, peeking through the window and waving her hands at the boys. bokuto's smile got wider and he waved back at her while akaashi just nodded his head.
the third year suddenly gasped and turned around to face akaashi, he remembered that he had to be mad at him for not telling him about his sister.

"I'm definitely not distracted! why didn't you tell me about her? I thought we're besties!"

"sorry bokuto-san, it's just.. uhm."
akaashi's voice was barely audible. he grew so quiet and just looked down at the ground. biting his inner cheek, he felt hesitant. he didn't know if he should open up to bokuto or not. he was his best friend but that topic scared him the most.
he suddenly felt his hand on his shoulder, looking up, he was met with bokuto's big hazel eyes.

"agaashee?"

"n-no it's nothing, anyway, goodnight."
with that, akaashi waved his hand slightly and walked towards his house, leaving bokuto behind, completely confused.

his brain was a mess, and hundreds of questions were roaming around it. akaashi was definitely hiding something, but he seemed like he didn't want to talk about it right now so he didn't want to push it further.

sighing loudly, bokuto made his way back to his house. while walking, he couldn't help but think about akaashi's sister, he was having mixed feelings about it, both excitement and worry. totally excited to meet her and worried about her, because something seemed completely off since akaashi never told him about her. he just hoped that everything was alright and that he will soon tell him everything.

the sky was nothing but magical, the stars were twinkling, adding a beautiful final touch to the magnificent painting of the starry night sky. pulling his hands closer to his mouth, bokuto closed his eyes and a smile curled on his lips. the party was the only thing that was on his mind aside from volleyball, but now, akaashi's sister was added to the list.
